Making money with email list?

Nice discussion, but I won't use these lists. Maybe it was a chance to make some $, but I think going against the laws and going to the jails as a consequence of that isn't worth it.

That's a wise decision in my opinion. It's not worth it, there are multiple ways to make money online without having to break the laws. It's not like you are out of options you have plenty of options out there

Believe me mate, i have been where you are right now. So let me share my humble experience hoping that it can serve you well.

I have gathered email lists aswell hundreds of thounsands on specific products niches and they were all legit emails, valid and actual emails of people who bought from actual stores. So they are all buyers.

However, just owning a list like that isn't enough, if you wish yourself to sell the products that they are interested on, you'll find it very difficult because first, you'll be spaming people who didn't not register to your site or your newsletter, therefore you will get flagged by many servers, like gmail, yahoo, etc... which means getting the domain name from which you are sending blacklisted and you'll always fall into their spam folders which no one will be able to see your offers.

That's what we call cold emailing, it's a science of it's own to counter all these missteps, i managed to learn, experiment and succeed at reaching a lot of clients but it wasn't very effective, some of them converted and most of them didn't, for the following reason:

If you are targeting Europe that will be harder, as people there are a lot more aware of the GDPR regulation laws, they will feel offended and violated in their privacy without their conscent if they see you landing in their mailing inbox, they will mark your email as a spam, and it only takes a handful of people to do that so you can get blacklisted in that particular server you are sending your emails to. Not to mention that they can also report you to other organizations aswell where they can file complaints, one of them did that !!!

As for selling them, people will find a hard time to believe that you have an actual niche and valid list, everybody will be very sceptical, so good luck convincing them. It's not like there is an actual group where you can just make your offer, you'll have to spot people who are realy looking for such lists which is not something common.

As to your prior questions about increasing the volume of your gmail sending, try first GMASS. But do not start big right from the start. Warm up your email, increase your volume each day by 50 and keep a regular sending schedule so you won't get blacklisted by your ISP.

Also think about verifying these emails lists, to avoid a significant amount of bounce rate. There are some actual tools online on which you can verify the emails.

I'll be happy to verify a small portion of you like to see what it's like, i received the same courtesy for free long time ago in here from another member, so i'm giving back now to someone else ^^

You would probably want to validate those lists. remove hard bounces, know spamtrap domain, mx..
then use your own dedicated IPs to shot those emails.

This is the best option you can do.

Like @sendizo said you need to validate those lists by an online email checker like this one: https://www.emaillistverify.com/ There are tons out there. And use an online mailing server with a fresh clean dedicated ip that is not blacklisted so you can send your emails. Even then you still have to be carreful about how you warmup your ip address while sending those emails. Google it !

That been said, it's normal that mailchimp banns you and most likely blacklists your domain name, because you are using their mailing server and if you are doing some bad activities and sending emails in an unapproved way the ESP (mailchimp) server might take a hit since the activities are coming from their servers. So because of their policy and in order to protect/preserve themselves it's understandable that they ban anybody who might cause troubles for them even for doing the tiny shady suspicious thing.

I'm gonna assume that you uploaded the 200 emails all at once maybe and they weren't added organicaly by each client through an email subscription form in a website. If you didn't do things properly like this, then it is normal that you get flagged.

Even the biggest companies nowadays who are authentic and legimitate and they have like a million email subscribed into their list, they still on a constant basis verify their email addresses by sending me occasional emails to test if there are any responses, if there are not, they retarget them again, if there is like no response the second or third time. They call that a junk/bounce and they eliminate it.

Atomic mail verify is not very reliable, but it's better than nothing. Go for the online email verifiers, some of them have quite an updated lists of the honeypots but not all nobody can protect you from all the honeypots. Search for like the TOP email verifiers in the net. As a result you get the emails verified in different categories, pick only the valid ones and don't use the uncertain ones, because they are shady and you can't know if they will be valid or bounced.

It all depends where you acquire your emails from and how, if you scrapped them and they weren't registered organicaly in your mailchimp, then there is a high risk that they are no longer working or spamtraps !

Are this emails all randons or niche based? if its niche try to resell products based on that or promote CPA offers, Affiliate products etc
