anything can have positive side effects, but with drugs, the negative far outweigh the positive.....even with legal pharma/otc drugs...

have you seen the side effects to some meds..especially the 'legal' drugs?

i mean a pill that makes you lose weight, sleep might, or getting your cycle once a year be nice...but is it worth the anal leakage, constant diarrhea, suicidal tendencies, abdominal pain, blurry vision, vomiting, nausea, inflamation of the gums, or psychotic episodes worth it?

First of all, I voted "no." THC is a drug, and Marijuana isn't harmless. However, I believe it is much safer than alcohol and tobacco, therefore I am all for the responsible recreational use of Marijuana, but that's it. Not any pills, prescription drugs of any sort, or illicit drugs.

I also voted "no" because drugs shouldn't be considered "cool" no matter which drug you're talking about. That sends a bad message to people too young to participate in responsible recreational Marijuana use. However, if you are an adult and are going to indulge responsibly, I don't have a problem with that at all.

Your statement shows your lack of knowledge on the topic. Marijuana is simply produced by the same natural processes on earth that create all plant-life. People have to synthesize drugs like cocaine, heroin, etc. While drugs can have wonderful purposes such as treatment for whatever...my point is I don't feel something all natural should be regulated. If I can go out and smoke a pile of tulips without getting into trouble then why can't I smoke marijuana. I feel the same way about wearing seat belts. Why should I get a ticket for risking MY life? Some laws are broken. Period.

Because you think you know everything when in fact it is the opposite.

With 67% of Americans obese, I think people should listen to the experts.

But since most people are assholes who think they know better, law needs to come in and force it upon them.

But when the law gets in their fat ego's way, people make BS up to justify their ego.

Well people should have freedom to a certain extent. I agree marijuana should be legalized since tobacco is. There should be a no public smoking law. If you're destroying your health, don't take mine with you... f**king low life public smokers.

But I don't agree with your seat belt statement. Do you realize a few fines can save your ass? That's a fact.

Provigil people!!

It is the best for all your BH needs :) Stay awake and alert for hours, have no symptoms that speed does and the only side affects is a little headache :)

Its prescribed to narcoleptic's :) But you can get it online easily :)

Taking drug is cheating. Our brain is powerful if we know it
Anyway I think that legal drugs as alcool, tabacco, cafeine but much more all "vitamins", "medecine", "anti-depressive"... All the "take a pill for my head, one for my stress, one for my skin, one for my cock, one for my ass"... Are lot of more dangerous than most of illegal ones ;)
Anyway the bigest problem with illegal drugs is social and toxicomans needs to be heal & help to getting out.
If all drugs were legals with a balance policy and education, I think every one should can use what will help him to progress (even if it's cheating :D)

Between a medecine, a drug and a poison, the only difference is the dose.

Nope - drugs are for people who can't handle reality, need to escape or to look 'cool' to their peers.

Is IM a drug? Is BH a drug? Is BHW a drug?

I certainly know people that are addicted to these things. They give people a euphoric experience with the knowledge they learn etc.

Its all the same!!

hey dumbass. i aint a pot smoker, unless you consider once every 2-3 months a pot smoker. imho pots better then mcdonalds... that shits synthesized!

lets use fast food restaurants here. pot is like chick fil a, and other drugs are like mcdonalds and burger king. mcdonalds and burger king will kill you. chick fil a wont because it is o so good and real chicken

wow, what an utterly terrible analogy.

You should NOT be fined if you're over the age of 18 (meaning, if there are children in the car and you choose not to make them buckle up then you should be fined for each child) and decide not to wear your seat belt, it is your OWN personal choice not to wear it... you're not risking anyone's life except your own.

That's not my point.

Why would you want to risk your life?

You guys think it's a personal choice. Sure that's true in a way but you're not getting the picture that it is DANGEROUS. No, it's not about breaking a bone or two. You can DIE. This is something serious not just a personal thing... Most people just don't get it.

You can talk shit about the government but the bottom line is that it's all for your own good. Unlike all the know-it-alls in this world, the government knows what is best for its people.

But people feel like they need to bash the government because they know everything...

.

it's the 'experts' and 'gurus' that are fking up the world
one day they say this
then they say that
then they say doing what they said before is wrong
then they say there's a better way
but then that way will kill you
or will it?

people listen too much to experts and don't educate themselves enough

I don't want to risk my life and I believe everyone should wear their seat belt.

And it is personal choice, end of story, there is nothing more to add. I can see the risks just fine, that's the very reason I wear a seat belt... But still that doesn't justify the reasoning that goes into pulling people over for not wearing a seat belt.

Honestly I'm all for the fines, whatever, I just don't like the idea of actually making a traffic stop JUST for seat belts. I find it a waste of time and a waste of resources.

And not too sure what all the government stuff came from.. I never debated the whole government or called it shit. Sure, I don't like some laws but oh well. I just don't agree with your opinion on an internet forum.

This is the best post in this whole thread.

hey im from holland, and here we separate two kinds of drugs -hard drugs -soft drugs hard drugs is the chemical drugs like xtc mdma cocaine etc softdrugs are natural products, weed, ****************s etc. softdrugs are allowed to be sold in shops here. But it doens't mean that everyone here is high all day. in fact, people in france and the UK where it is illegal, use it even more than dutch people. But I think weeds are ok. It does less damage to health and society than alcohol that is a fact.

Yes, they do tend to do that. SOMETIMES. Not always. Doctors told people to take meds thousands of years ago and they still do now. Truth is, some "facts" do change but not as many as you're putting it.

And can you please tell me how you educate yourself?

I can guarantee your sources came from other people. We all learn from each other, that's how we survive.

We should have a open mind and learn as much as possible. And then we should think for ourselves.

Nope - drugs are for people who can't handle reality, need to escape or to look 'cool' to their peers.

Ideas like this are really narrow-minded and evidence of some serious anti-drug propaganda probably instilled at a young age. I embrace reality.. in fact I love being sober, I love the world in my normal perception of it. You can use drugs as a healthy person and not be abusive.

That's not my point.

How I want to treat my body is not a personal thing? If I can die it's no longer personal? WTF are you smoking? Have you ever heard of the right to the pursuit of happiness? If eating McDonalds quadruple stacks and driving with no seatbelt makes me happy, then I should be able to do those things. And Fuck You for telling me I shouldn't be able to and that it's no longer my decision at a certain point. Now if I decide that drinking and driving makes me happy, well now I'm endangering other people and I need to be stopped.

The government DOES NOT know what's best for it's people. THE PEOPLE know what's best for it's people-- you sound like you live in a dictatorship of some sort, and that's cool if that's how you want to live. I prefer a democracy-- one in which the PEOPLE decide what's best.

Knew someone would say that - if you knew me you would know that I am not narrow minded at all, in fact I see myself with a wide open outlook to life.

I have not been bombarded with ant-drug mumbo jumbo at an early age or the last 37 years :)

I am not having a go at you, we are all allowed an opinion and everyones is as valid as anyone else.

Its my look on it and I will stand by what I said (bit dissappointed that you didn't ask me if I drink alcohol and ask if that is a drug or not!!!)

Like I said, we both have an opinion - if we didn't this world would be shite and boring!

I didnt vote, but drugs are here for a reason otherwise they wouldnt be here (natural drugs)
IMO Life is designed to kill you whether that be because you ate to much, you took too many drugs, you drive to fast.

6 million ways to die, choose one!

fatboy, it is narrow-minded to generalize all drug-users motives into those three ideas you mentioned. For the majority, I think you're right, but it's simply asinine to think those are the only reasons people use drugs. You are completely unaware of the great many in the world who use drugs very consciously, with much respect, and in a very healthy mindset. You probably can not comprehend that within your boxed idea of drug use.

To use alcohol as an example, there are countless numbers of people who drink lightly and responsibly to enjoy themselves, nothing more, nothing less. Many of these people do it for social acceptance, or as an anti-anxiety medication, but many also do it because they simply enjoy the experience that alcohol provides.
