What to do with inactive Instagram account?

So I recently got my old Instagram account back, after 6 months of forgetting the password and studying for exams, I've finally got back to it for the summer. My account is currently on 27k followers and losing around 30 a day.

I dont know what to do, as I know when I post I will get a huge unfollow wave. Should I change my niche as my old one is outdated? Should I try to sell and start again from fresh? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I hopped on the gaming niche, mainly fortnite last summer when it was big. I hate fortnite but it was very popular. This niche is dying and i dont know what niche young teens would still be engaged in.

Just try to post very HQ posts, If it is Fornite niche then u can surf around and find a few flick clips that are really "insane" and post it

Instagram following is quite easy. Do some research on your niche and make 5 to 8 posts per day. Remember, add hashtags along with each post. Proper Hashtags are the basic strategy to get followers on Instagram. Try it from now, and if you still do not get your goal, I can suggest you some other strategies.

You can also do another thing. Do a little research about the timings in your zone when a large number of users are active on insta. Make 300 posts with hashtags, and then delete all of them. For example, lets say 1 to 3 is high traffic timing, make 300 hashtagged posts from 1 to 2;15, and before 3 delete all of them. Gradually, you will get more followers.

Also if you want to check my acc its @fortnitez_meme, I post 3 times a day: twice at peak times for my age range (6 and 9pm) and one post at 9am to keep consistency.

Do giveaways, be active, post daily, try to advertise to grow audience and you will see that if your IG starts to get more followers then the people will start to be active and like your posts.

I won't agree that fortnite is dying. It survived a strong test which was Apex Legends and came out on top. Apex and PUBG are the perfect example of dying games. Fortnite as well as League of Legends, Dota 2, CS:GO, GTA V are still somewhat thriving and quite easy to go viral with.

About engagement.. just post the best content from different fortnite pages daily, comment on some medium fortnite channels to make a signal, like comments on your posts and watch people's story. Don't stop doing that and you will see the results.
