Specifically, what I want to know is based on this scenario...

When I do searches from my phone or laptop for my website, it usually pops up on the first page. I am not sure if this is because the search engine automatically detects that it is a relevant website to me because I own it.

How do I check whether that is true or not?

I don't know how advanced search engine technology is, but I assume at least a good portion of people I am connected to, might find my website directly if they typed the exact title.

Does this mean SEO is being done well? Or do I need to be ranking more on the first page with more posts? Or does every post have to rank on the first few pages for it to rank well?

The best way is to search in incognito mode of your browser or private browsing (whatever it is called). Also if you are targetting US, then it wouldn't make sense to test your rankings on Google Italy search engine.

Basically you need to be ranking for KW's that bring traffic. People will be typing tons of different things to search. As long it is close to your main KW, your site will show up in the rankings provided it is already ranking.

You can use some SERP ranking tool to find out your progress. Its easy.

These are the free ones. There are also paid options which offer much more better options.

use private browsing or incoqnito on chrome, if you want to check how well your seo in other country or other languange then go to right lower and click Setting > Search Setting, there you can change region and languange and click save.
Now you searching on that region and language and will see different result.

There are a lot of ranking tracking tools out there (both paid and free). Use one you are comfortable with.

Thanks for the discussion guys. Actually I am also facing the same issue with me blog. And now I am going to try these valuable tips getting from you guys.

Just go on incognito, that lets you search for your keywords without the cookies you already have on your computer. Or install a SERP checker (there are also online tools that don’t require downloads or installs).

Use private window to see your ranking , or use kproxy to see the ranking
if you are getting your website ranked in 1st page and you are not sure that it is correct data , see cashed data
