I see here on this very great forum, that there are alot of wordpress services available, but none for wix. As someone who is looking to build a new website, I would like to know what are the main differences, and why is wix not represented here and for what reasons. Please let me know, thank you.

Wix is an extremely closed system. Not good for extending your site when you need extra functionality (which you will sooner than later). Wix is also terribly slow, to me as a developer it seems wix didn't get how the web works.
Wordpress can be a bit less visual friendly but it's faster, has a huge community (as you've already realized), has plugins and themes for just about anything.
Wordpress is a no brainer if you're planing for the long term.

If you're using Wix, it's not your website. It's hired for you. You are very limited.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Throw clients on Wix with small budget, those with larger budgets can go on wordpress.
If you like cars, think of Wix as something like a VW Golf, where Wordpress is more like a Skyline that can be optimised to either go faster or blow up.

Not sure you're understanding. Wix is a company - you don't need 3rd party support, you literally email Wix.

The functionality with Wix and customization with it are both limited, especially for someone who isn't a developer. A person just starting out, or even a seasoned developer, would be more benefited by using Wordpress because Wordpress has everything already built for it.
Want an Amazon store? There are dedicated themes & plugins for it. Want an automotive bidding/sales website? There are themes & plugins for it. Woocommerce (Wordpress eCommerce Plugin) does wonders for products, is compatible with a very large number of themes, and has a multitude of plugins to fit almost every need. Even if you're looking for a simple blog, Wordpress gives you a multitude of themes for free.

Wix is hella generic, the customizations are far more limited than WP, but I tried many years ago.

Customization is limited on Wix and you don't have much control. On the other hand, you can change tons of stuff in wordpress and you can host your site on your own hosting.

As has already been said before, Wix is extremely closed of a system, and falls into the realm of "pretty to look at" but that's where the positives and and the laundry list of negatives begin - it's code is ridiculously messy and very unfriendly for SEO (meaning Google, Bing etc will be less likely to index you or, if they do, you won't rank), and it's so restrictive that you can't even change your mind about your theme later or give your site a "facelift" by updating your theme, or modernizing it. It would require you to START OVER FROM SCRATCH - there's no excuse for that. Also, it's extremely expensive (in the long run).
WordPress is by far your best (and cheapest), and most flexible option long term. If you are BELIGERANTLY opposed to learning WordPress, I would suggest Weebly (MUCH better coded than Wix, better for SEO, better for customization/site changes, and if you decide to make any major changes with the help of a developer, you have full access to the HTML & CSS...

The platform which has updates, flexibility, adding new features, and SEO optimized is Superior to other platforms. WordPress is great.

You couldnt have said it better. Weebly is way better than wix if you dont have the patience for wordpress
