I have no idea what Windows laptop to buy - never had Windows and don't know the hardware. Could you give me an example of what I'd need to run Jarvee?

Any decent windows pc can achieve this.

And this way you can make sure that you don't get the cast off garbage proxy of a spammer but actually get a residential one?

Buy an old second-hand Windows laptop and run Jarvee there on your home ip.
It doesn't matter if you haven't used windows before, it's not rocket science.

The problem is I only have one account - and it's an account grown over 5 years. So I don't want to risk getting a bad proxy.

Is there no truly reliable source to get a good proxy? (and is 1 enough for one account?)

Why do you want to use a proxy for just your personal account?
You can use your own residential ip to bot the account.

I had the wrong information.

If you ran Jarvee on a VPS (because then you don't have to run a computer all the time) - how do you get it to show your IP address? (so far the only option I know to show my IP with Jarvee is to buy one of those Dell Inspiron with an SSD and have it on all the time and connected to my Wifi - then it will automatically show my IP.

With one account it doesn’t matter if you use a proxy or not. They don’t really ban for proxy us, but for botting. Proxy use is to avoid chain bans

I am on a Mac, so I have to get a VPS to run Jarvee.

And once you're on a VPS, you'll need a Proxy to have an IP address that's not the generic one of the VPS - am I right or wrong here?

So, if you can run virtual machines on your mac, do that, install windows in it and run it. If not...any laptop with 1 processor and 2-4 GB ram will do it...

Yes you can use your IP. Basically the Virtual Machine will have your IP by default. No need to setup anything in Jarvee.

Google VMWare. I believe they have free options for personal use. It's just like a mini-PC you setup on your computer. You can install Windows on it and load Jarvee from there. Though you need to have your PC on all the time (doesn't work like a VPS.) It also just uses your wifi to run so no need for anything else like proxies if you're only managing 1 account.

If you only have 1 or even 5 accounts using same cell phone # why would you need jarvee? just use something else simpler and not a bot, there are many instagram automation tools out there like hootsuite ... you don't even need VPS for this, you can use it on Mac and I think its safer, you are not hiding anything since you will be using your home/ office IP and instagram will know this and they may ask you to verify once or so. Don't risk it by using Jarvee as jarvee and the like are bots. You can have 4 more accounts on your IG for same cell #, so if you have not created anything else other than this one, I think its time to create another back up one call it same name as your original one and add something else like number 2 or _ whatever, start following and unfollowing slowly using this extra account to get followers and do same posts on both. You can also stay with your original one and just do it from the app, no need to automate anything, its only take 2-5 posts per day, why pay for any automation tools here? your account is growing naturally.
