Ask me anything about Facebook Ads 2019

Hi Drought, any advice on how to not get you FB ad account banned? I've been hearing horror stories.

When testing new ads publish 1 at a time rather than all at once. This way, if you get disapproved only 1 will get disapproved, rather than like 20-100 which will be a big red flag.

weve spent more than 500 usd and we only got 1 sale, dropshipping store, mens accesorries, watches, we gave discounts 50 % off but it just wont convert into sales. Target is market is US, we even made LLA that are 4% and give them 70% off it just wont convert.

4% of what? If you're just getting started you should be testing Interests, not Lookalike Audiences of random things.

Should you create the ad account from your personal profile or should you create a another profile for it?

I know this is probably such a newbie question but are Facebook ads effective for bands/artists? My band are considering using them :)

Using your personal account is generally standard-practice unless you have a large company, then the Ad Account is created from your Business Manager.

Depends what your goal is. For bands/musicians/artists your best use case is likely to try and engineer one of your music videos to go viral. Is it possible? Yes. But really fucking hard to do, even if you're a great band. The music industry is not one built on performance marketing, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply and the intel. I'll pass it on to the rest of the band. Our music is in such small niche genres (dark electronic/industrial metal) that the chances of us engineering a viral music video are slim to none. We were hoping that because we're part of such small niche genres it would be easier for us to engineer our way up the ladder so to speak in those genres with the help of seo and smm (as well as good tunes) seeing as there's less competition in those genres. Ah well. Back to the drawing board :)

If it's super niche, you will hard a hard time finding Interests to target on Facebook. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to do organic outreach to other bands/producers in your niche.

Thanks man. That sounds like a good idea. I'll put that to the rest of the band :)

Hello again, I just started drop shipping business on shopify platform, my current method to find products is spying, so I use the same video + ad copy + description, I’m new to fb ads, what I want to know now is this: let say I launched an adset for 5 $ per day and then after 3 days I came and take a look on it, and I noticed that there is no purchase, what are things that will let me decide to kill the ads or keep it going, please explain in details if possible.

For eCom your cost-per-add-to-cart is a good identifier if you aren't getting purchases. For most of my eCom clients I see anywhere from 10-35% of people that ATC purchase. You can use this to calculate whether an ad set will actually be profitable.

how can run auto loan offer, i tried 2-3 time always get not approved

so it means that if there is no ATC after 72h i must stop the ad set ?

Facebook says in their ToS they don't allow loan ads.

It depends on the price point of the product you're promoting. A good baseline is if you your cost-per-ATC is higher than 25% of your product cost, you should stop that ad set.

1 Words on the post have less importance in an ad?
mostly about the pics?

2. you recommend conversion campgs. for eCom products? im trying to sell 10-20 dollar items.

3. whats your target audience or how big if you were to do it?

I;ve done long form post with single pics and theyre not doing well. cause i heard copywriting can really sell item even if long form.

thanks

Hi Op, I been running the ads for a few days now and spent over $60 total but no sales. I get around 30+ visits a day and my products range from $5 to $10. I know it's not a lot of data but what are good signs for me to stop the ads and either create new ones , target other audiences or restructure my site? Thanks!!

How do I remove the ad schedule and have my ad run until my budget is reached? I'm talking about the start date and end date.

Also, you should make a Udemy tutorial. I would buy.

Hi,

I am trying to promote amazon affiliate via my personal ads account.. so from the ads it goes to my website and from there it goes to amazon.. After i created this campaign, my personal ads account was disabled.. is this because I'm using personal ads account to promote affiliate? or the ads/landing page is not compliance? I was trying to promote laptop from amazon

This ads account have been around for 2 years and I've use it before with no problems..

Thanks

Since FB does not directly allow my Affiliate link,I have created a Website and added a Affiliate link in a Blog.I tried to promote the Blog where I get lot of Views but 0 Signups.

1. Correct when it comes to physical products
2. Yes, Conversion campaigns with Purchase, Add-to-cart, or view content objective.
3. Do what?

Relevance score, clickthrough rate, cost-per-ATC, etc.

At the ad set level use 'Daily Budget' and not 'Lifetime Budget'. And I am working on an online course to be released later this month.

Followers for a US business page . Any suggestions for it?

Starting from scratch or no? If not, create a 3% lookalike of everyone that has engaged with your page in the last 3-6 months. Target that with a Page Likes campaign.

Yes, they don't allow affiliate. Build a landing page, collect email addresses, and promote affiliate links through there.
