You make them understand you do charge for guest posting and the amount you normally charge for that. Ideally, I often do 50 USD on individual's outreach and 45 USD for agencies. It depends on the Niche and your website authority.

Would it be like your pillar post talking about how the site relies on guest articles and reviews and stuff, I mean that makes sense - any tips on keywords ?

Perfect way to get the domain deindexed with tons of faked up buyers and waste of time.

In short - domain with tons of outbound contextual backlinks = domain build to manipulate ranking and no need human eye to note this. I used this 4 years ago and it worked until update.

There still have good way to do this. Directory style. Much less SEO value of the links, but safe. Example yelp and related where SEO impact for the links inside is minimal. Do you remember squido, ezinearticles, xanga and so on - all they were penalted and some of them deindexed because this.
Alternatively - sell only 1 link on this domain on the home page and ask for monthly fee.

Just because you did something poorly, doesn't mean it doesn't still work.

I do a lot of guest posting on my sites. Funny enough, the site where guest posts are free has the lowest success rate of getting guest posts, but that is due to my VERY high requirements.
I run sites for guest posting, they continue to grow rank in the SERPs, because most will submit super low comp keyword focused articles.

A thing I do, continue posting articles to the site as well. These will have only internal links, or links to authoritative sites only(non-purchased). This keeps the site looking 100% legit.

I've answered this question so many times but here is a quick summary ;

This is no rocket science as you can just use your normal blog, All you have to do better is optimizing your GUEST POST page since most don't do it. You can well push some links to it to have you rank for your Niche.

Glad to starting to work it. PA. DA. TF, CF and all are SEO jargons owned by third-party companies used in the industry to give metrics about a website.

PA - Page Authority
DA - Domain Authority

TF - Domain Trust Flow ( Are you receiving links from Authority websites ? This metric would help you know )
CF - Domain Citation Flow ( How often is website seen/listed on other websites e.g: Directories, Blogs....)

I do this, I am not sure where exactly I rank (I just don't care at the moment as I don't have much time to do it properly, maybe, I'll have to employ VA to sort out guest posts and requests ...).

I get about 15 requests a week. I have put like 2K words article on my "Write for Us" page where I outlined all the rules. It just makes it simple for me to reject the crap guest posts that I get. I got exact copy from an article directory once ... what a dumbass.

But I have also received a few really well written and optimised posts that actually rank and gets me extra traffic.
