So here's the deal - I've been managing a client's Instagram for about a month now. Initially they had an in-house guy who managed it on the side, but when they got serious about social media they decided to give me a chance when I approached them. The Instagram account was created with the in-house guy's email.

Now I've been using Jarvee to F/UF, schedule posts, and autolike, etc. and I was running it with fairly conservative settings initially. I ran into an email verification issue where it locked me out of the account saying "Help us confirm you own this account". And I had to go back to the old account owner at the client's business in order to get the security code from his email so that I could get back into the account. 'After that, I figured that in case it happened again in the future, I would change the account's email to one of my own just to avoid having to pester him further.

But now, I've gotten locked out about 5 different times, and each time the email to confirm the account somehow gets changed back to the ORIGINAL email of the in-house guy?? I tried changing it again to my own, and after Jarvee runs for 2-3 days, it will lock me out again and revert to his email for the email verification.

I've had to pester him way more than I should for stupid confirmation codes from Instagram, and if I can't get this issue sorted out I'm definitely not going to be able to keep this deal going.

I also have a photographer logged in who provides media for the client, but that shouldn't cause any kinds of issues with the email verification. He doesn't do much on the account, just posting the occasional stories.

If anyone has any insight into managing a client's IG via Jarvee and these email verification issues, any help would me extremely appreciated! Thanks in advance everyone.

There's a combination of things that could be happening here. Are you the only one who is signing into the account? Are you sure this in-house guy has no incentive to try to make your efforts fail? I would just tell them if you're going to manage the account you'll need access to the original email. If it was registered with a company email, the company will have access to it.

Same here
How slow i am with Jarvee, after 2 or 3 days accounts ask for phone number verifications
dont know why

You're right, definitely a combination of symptoms. As far as I know the only people signed in are myself (via Jarvee) and my photographer (on his iPhone). I would ask for access to the original email but it's his personal email. He's just a sales guy, and was managing the instagram on the side (wasn't his priority nor did he like it), so they hired us to take over on it full-time. So no, he has no incentive to try to make our efforts fail. He doesn't even have instagram on his phone anymore.

I'm gonna have to bug him and ask for the verification code at some point (this will be time #6 now), but I want to ensure that he knows that this is the last time I'll be bugging him about it.

I'm not using any proxy with Jarvee (only have 2 instagrams on it so no need to). I just am so stumped on why it would keep reverting to his email. If two people with very different IPs are trying to access an instagram will it lock everyone out?

So that's why everyone want to have the OG email with IG?
I think that may be part of it, maybe Instagram always remembers the email that the account was created with and in the case of something happening, it reverts back to that email.

Seems counterintuitive though, because people could always lose access to that email or have a newer one on the account.

@cantaloupe

Hey,

could you solve the problem ? you still have this client ?

would be helpfull to see the solution, if there was one.

kind regards

Tell him Insta is having issues, ask him to create a filter in his mailbox which forwards all administrational insta incoming mails to your e-mail so you don't have to bother him?

Hey mate you have way too many "cooks in the kitchen" as they say - too many people logging in from various locations, as well as the bot running. It's no surprise IG is trying to confirm the account.

Log Jarvee out of the account, wait about 24 hours, then change the email and wait a few days before logging it back in with Jarvee.

Also explain to the client that it's normal for IG to do this, as they are trying to prevent hackers and that you may have to reduce the number of people who are able to login to the account to avoid further issues.

You can't login the same time , I tell my client's to have a backup page they use or don't login the same time. This is still risky since instagram might be suspicious that the account runs basically 24/7.

I'd convert a raspberry pi into a proxy server if it's a local client tbh... would definitely make things safer.

Also have a login session on a mobile device you use since you only manage 1-2 accounts.. that way next time you get any kind of challenge you can do the process from your phone (most verifications like that can be solved by "it was me")

If all else fails, ask if you can have access to said e-mail or at least have them setup email forwarding (super easy if it's gmail) to your e-mail if any letter from instagram comes that way you don't have to bug the guy every time a verification hits..

Just a random bunch of ideas, hope it helps, cheers!

this is a security breach from jayvee keep logging in and out from both accounts there no way changing the email while running the software.

stop the software as advised above and wait for 24 hrs then add new email.

also, take advise on receiving the photo and you post them directly.

you should be the only one using the accounts others, need to post everything to you and you post it to ig, it can ban you and its common mistake.

if the person is peed off with you asking for info all the time, if you can not change the email on ig , the solution is to get him setup emails incomming to forward to you automaticly from that perticular received email address.

gd luck.
