Hi guys,

I have started building my WP review website and I have a couple of problems that you guys might help me find a proper solution for.

If that will go well I will start an IM journey and hopefully help some others like me who's struggling for their first time.

1. My native language is not English and I find it quit hard to write all of those reviews myself.
Do you guys know of a service or a method that can help me make the writing process faster while maintaining good content quality?

2. I'm currently using GeneratePress theme (not the premium one) and its nice for a start, does any1 experienced with this theme for a review website? Does it worth buying the premium version?

3. I looked in the download section for premium themes and I found some that is very nice but im not aware for the disadvantages of using a cracked theme, can any1 please elaborate?

4. Any recommended WP plugins you guys know for a review website?

Thanks in advanced!

Nave

Use Grammarly for your content, it will correct typos and grammatical errors as you type.

Avoid any hacked/cracked theme, as these often carry malicious code.

Thanks for the reply @MisterF

Rather then Grammarly, would you use a writer to write the reviews content? like from upwork or something similar?

OP, how do you plan to get payments? PayPal? BC, paypal doesn't give a shit about digital services and it cause you further problems in the future

Yes if you have the budget. There are some good writers on here too in the Marketplace or post a HAF thread.

Do you have a budget to invest in your project? If you don't, then maybe consider trying to rank (for anything) in your native language. See if you can learn to market a website before you start investing in writing services and (eventually) backlinks. Its important you know how to do these things on your own before hiring someone or you can burn your budget over wasted efforts.

If you do have a budget and are ready to risk your money, then go ahead and hire some writers. Be sure you have a good game plan and clear guidelines of what you want. The writers won't magically create the sales-making content you need. They need to be directed.

Then keep some money aside for promotion. Either buying links, buying similar sites or paying someone to help you create more link-worthy content.

I'm not planning to get payments on the website, only from affiliate programs.

Would you mind recommend someone?

Thanks for the tips mate, I do have a some budget and I'm coming from media buying background so I after I'll get some content I will try to buy traffic for my website and see how it goes with affiliate.
The beauty in this kind of website is that I can add more content other than just reviews, maybe some affiliated articles linking to a CPA, CPL offer.

That would be an interesting thing to see. Amazon affiliate commissions are pretty low, it would be hard to make a profit Media Buying for it. But if you do manage to make it work: AWESOME!

A: Write your own diary every day for an hour. Read any English novel pdfdrive.com every day for a while. Use Grammarly If you can afford.

2. I'm currently using GeneratePress theme (not the premium one) and its nice for a start, does any1 experienced with this theme for a review website? Does it worth buying the premium version?
A: free version is good enough.

3. I looked in the download section for premium themes and I found some that is very nice but im not aware for the disadvantages of using a cracked theme, can any1 please elaborate?
A: You don't need a good looking website. You need a fast loading website with great content. Right now about 60%+ traffic is coming from the mobile device so the design doesn't matter.

4. Any recommended WP plugins you guys know for a review website?

Plugins that I use for my sites:
  • SEO by Yoast
  • MonsterInsights
  • Cookie Notice by dFactory
  • WP Smush
  • Really Simple SSL
  • Sucuri scanner
  • Duplicator
  • Tablepress
  • Shortcode Ultimate

Thanks for the detailed answer mate.
How do you optimize your website for mobile version? In GeneratePress it looks ok but there's a blank part on the right side of the screen, how do i make it disappear?
