I thought forums were dead in this day and age and the only thriving ones were reddit which is basically loads of forums in one but I was wrong.

I am fairly new here and I have realised that there is money to be made on bhw. I know people can make money selling on the marketplace but how much do you think the forum generates yearly. You could X the amount of jr.vip members by $97 to find out how much they make off that.

They also make money from advertising etc.

Membership sites are good for passive income but forums take a shit ton of dedication and starting cash.

Why would they take starting cash? The software is all basically free. Cheap to host until they grow large. They just need content and members, same as any other website. If you are passionate about the topic, you can add tons of content and likely you can find members from other sources to join and help you populate the forum for free.
