If he have a website, keep base with this prospect by offering some freebies to establish relationships. Example free t shirt design for his i house staff. Usually such clients will reciprocal with referral.

"Depends on what means for you crazy high prices. I have many years of experience and expertise in this field and I cannot work for $200 a website. My intention is to make a lucrative business, not a few bucks a month."

Well depending on the platform your creating your website on lets say its wordpress a website takes around 2/3 days maximum to complete with around 4 hours at most per day if your really trying you can finish a website in a day,
charging people $1200+ for a website is over 125$ per hour? most websites you will be creating will be looking very similar as you will have your template set then just change pictures and information accordingly.

How do you manage to get people to pay these high prices while im struggling to get clients on £40 a month (cheaper than a phone contract)

The industry standard is $1000+ for simple Wordpress websites. People like you are the problem. I am not sure why are you dumping prices but that is not a healthy business plan. I am sure the price is the reason why you don't have a lot of clients. If you read more books about selling process you'll see that lowest price isn't always the most attractive one. Especially for something like a website which usually serves as a sales machine and it brings money to the owner.

My minimum price for a website is $1500 and yeah, those are simple WP websites, but the difference is in the selling process. I sell configured sales machines, if you offer nothing except the website you'll probably get a bad response. Change your sales tactics and sell dreams, not websites.

$200/hour is not much if you consider ROI they get over the lifetime. Position yourself higher ;)

Hey, can you drop me a DM if possible?

Good Luck with your journey
Would you mind sharing the sample offer letter and agreement letter for Web Design service?

Great, I am doing exactly the same thing. Please also share the email template and the subject of emails you sent.

People who chose free websites do so because they don't want to pay. You won't get any good results but losing time trying to sell them a paid website.
Well it's my opinion, not a rule of thumb :)
