How much to charge for shoutouts?

Say you have an account with 10k followers and some company wants you to do a shoutout for them, how much is acceptable to charge them for a post? is there a common pricing or everybody charges whatever they want?

I want to avoid scaring clients away with high prices but at the same time I don't want to undercharge them.

its about the niche but in average you should charge between 5 and 10$ for a 24 hours shoutout .

It all depends on your niche, engagement, and if it's your own content (not "borrowed").
If it's your own content, with 100+ likes, and 20+ comments (everything real), you can charge $100+. The more likes and comments, the more you can ask.

I've seen that most people at that point charge $10 for a shoutout, but I've also seen that people's follower engagement suffers after doing a promo like that. They say not to do shoutouts until you've got at least 20k followers. I don't know if $10 is worth getting a setback in your following when you could do so much better later on.

It depends on the promo. If you do a promo for an account in the same or a very similar niche it would be no problem. Also if he has an account with only 10k followers he can afford a slight decrease in engagement. Now for the pricing if you have a good ER like 8-10% or more you can easily charge 15$+ for a shoutout, if not go with 8-10$.

I charge €100 for a permanent shoutout and only allow 2 per week as I publish my own content during the week.
My account has 5.5k followers, aroung 600-800 likes per post and about 70-100 comments in the first 24hrs.

I would say 10k followers isn’t much. $5-$10 per shoutout. However, if you’re talking about a BIG company here with a big budget then you could probably get a better price

Just search for influencers with gaming in the name, and you will find several in this niche

I suggest you being really careful and investigate the profiles before paying for shoutouts,there is a lot pages with fake following/bots.

It depends on your niche and how much engagement you are currently getting.

If you have high engagement (lots of likes, comments, views, etc.) then you can charge more.

I would also ask your competitors using a different account how much they charge so you can get an idea of what others in your niche are charging.
