Hey guys,
I was wondering about what happens if an already established website decides to ruin its new competitor in terms of seo by creating crazy spammy links pointing out to it. Lets just take an example of Medium and Steemit for a second. What if someday medium tries to completely de-index steemit from the search engines by doing negative SEO. Is that really possible? How is steemit supposed to handle this situation?
Also, do giant websites such as medium, reddit or even BHW etc put any effort in off-page optimization?
How do these websites ensure that they're doing fine. What happens if any BHW member (or lets just assume a team of crazy BHW members) lose his mind and create thousands of wildly spammy links pointing to BHW and so, for this reason google deindexes BHW. What options does BHW team have?
