Google may have pushed out their first larger Google search algorithm update of 2019 over this weekend. It may have started around January 5th or 6th and it seems to be continuing on through today - the 7th. There is both chatter within the SEO community and ranking tools validating the shifts in the Google search results.

Travel - All whitehat, good links etc, fresh content, aged domain and all the good stuff. Was some dancing around Dec and then, wham, 3rd page.

Yep. It's a nasty one this time! Seems to be no clear algo reason at the mo so possibly G is playing around a bit then things will settle......hopefully!

Yesterday and today I see lots of movements in my serps. In one of my niche they now rank really spammy sites in the Top 10. By that I mean spun and duplicate content (almost every article is the same).

Some of my sites started jumping from #20 to #40 some disappeared from the serps.

Yes! I am seeing some settling now and back on page 1 (just). Lots of blog posts from years ago started taking over so god knows what's been happening.
