Hi,
I think 19.95 is good, the forum is definitely good enough for paid membership and of course I picked the cheapest option :)

One question how does this affect people that bought Cory's CS? Will we still get the support?

Absolutely --

Man, I was one of the first to vote yesterday and now just saw close to 150 votes for the $19.95 option. Damm, I still think $20 a month is low, Im sure most of you that vote for that spend $20 alone on cigarretes and booze in one day...

I firmly believe in saturation, and having loads of El cheapos access software and tools exclusive to this site will just get us caught sooner or later. Simply because a lot of people will be trying these tools which makes easier for the networks to find out whats going on, that will screw everybody.

Im not dissing anyone, Im just saying that if you want exclusivity, you need to pay higher prices. If you cant make $20 in one day online, you better get your ass to school boy

$20, $50, $80 does it really make a difference?

if the value is there, and I think it wil be, even with just the cookie stuffer.

lets just get it all sorted, as I was just about to purchase the cookie stuffer today.

I have concerns about the whole concept. I ponied up for CS and paid $197 for the script. I really dont want to see anybody that can pay $19 a month to have it, because it isnt exclusive anymore. The initial CS launch was linited to a number and those of us who are using it correctly are making the cash. I dont know about this one.

I agree with portillo, its loosing its exclusivity at $19, i understand the need to monetize the blackhatworld.com to the max but maybe somethings should be kept at a high price to eliminate the new guys that would ruin it for the rest of us..

I am really starting to change my mind on this..

Why not the lifetime membership option like someone mentioned and charge $200-$500 and keep it invite only.

I know i am new to this forum and feel I maybe speaking out of turn, but if I am to share some shares I have, I think i would only do it if it was within a equal level of membership to myself.

I'd be willing to support a lifetime membership.

When will this membership program be launched?

There is another option.

An initial licensing fee, say the $250.00 that CS goes for, then a pre paid paid per use. Kind of a reverse PPC. Total first month could be like $300.00, for licensing fee and the first $50.00.

Each time the call home is made X amount is deducted from the members account, once the account hits zero the call home bounces.

The monthly fee would be your RPPC fee with a minimum of 5,000 hits at $0.01 each, if you want more, you buy more.

This would provide incentives all around for us to use it wisely, making every penny count, and Cory to keep it up, to count up the pennies.

I still dont see how this could work with the several of us that have already purchased CS, we have lifeime memberships and dont need to pay anything else. What would be the value added for paying membership here? There needs to be some clarification at least to me by PM of what additionally I would get out of the deal. I personally feel like everybody shouldnt have the tool. And just looking at the polls it's interesting that everybody picked the lowest price available for membership. Call it being human if you like, but the truth is that the value you place on things is exactly the way you treat them. it will be no different with this. I can see it now, a group of people trying to null the script so they can sell it on DP..........

I voted $30

That price works for a lot of memberships. Not too cheap and not too expensive, but it keeps only the serious folks involved.

I agree with Dave 2 level membership. This forum may become paid membership but I hope this forum wouldn't spread it's darkness all over the world. Can you imagine if one or more creator of the product that we hack already going to be our members? well, if that happen, I'm sure there will be no such thing as "free stuff" and "VIP stuff". This is very vital.
BHW is the best forum I can found on the net.
Give this forum the best,

Some people just don't get it. This is an optional addition to the forum. You want in? Then you should vote for the price you think may best be worth the program. I think judgment in our hands is actually sincere because nobody has even seen what's inside the program. When you have seen, peeked, or heard of what the program consists of in specific details then some of you can give your respectable in-depth judgments. If it's worth it then congratulations, but that shouldn't be discussed because the program isn't even up yet.

Some people are being irrational, unreasonable, and even paranoid over this. You don't have faith that this will pull through for the better of the forum, I do. It's a simple as this, you don't want in? Stick to the general free forum post, learn, and discuss. For those who opt-in to this they will have exclusive access to materials that actually took some time, energy, and possibly money to create. There are actually quality attributes here and I see real commitment to this. Those who purchased CS, you can be worried but don't get paranoid, I'm sure what's to come is debatable by you and if you have confidence in Corey's judgment (was has been positive so far) and Dave (haven't stole from anybody as far as I can see) you shouldn't be worried. I hope everyone could relax until it is official and not make unnecessary decisions. Some people are so exaggerative to say this forum will fall-apart just because a new optional addition has been added. This is no different than donations, you donate if you wish or you don't. Some moderator should clean-up the turmoil and disrespectful posts here, leave room for proper debatable discussion (CS users in mind first of course).

Guys, would you read my comment here for a second? I have something to say.

I actually going to buy CS today and I read on this post. If you change CS to $19.95, I wont buy CS today, this will be another crap software and useless tool after it's launch the membership for $19.95 per month. So please kick off $19.95 out of your mind. (Customer not always right, remember Dave and Cory)

To prevent those people abuse cory and dave hardwork, I suggest stay on $49.95 per month. This point is very reasonable price for a BH super tools. This is not too cheap, and not too expensive. I will join this team if it launch. Anyway I know Cory and Dave will only allow BHW members to join it, so cheer and I will be waiting for the good news. :D

Maybe if can, let us subscribe for 1 year for just $500 for the first 10 peoples in. I will in for this. ;)

Simple economics.

As of the time I posted this there were 234 votes. IF all people that voted took up the offer at the price they voted for the income would look like this:

$19.95 - 176 votes - income $3511.20
$29.95 - 23 votes - income $688.85
$49.95 - 17 votes - income $849.15
$97.95 - 17 votes - income $1665.15

I ignored the one vote for $67.95 and assumed that $29.96 was a misprint.

It seems fairly obvious that the most income for you guys is the cheapest option and it's likely that a good number of the people who voted for the higher amounts would actually join for a lower subscription (even if just to check it out).

You've got an obvious 2 tier structure - lower at $19.95 and higher at either $97.95 or some number that the $49.95 people might be persuaded to jump to. It's a no-brainer.

OTOH just because someone voted for the price it doesn't mean they'll join.

Your simple economics is very simple, based on a poll of what would like it to be. I am guilty of voting $19.95, just because that is what I would like to pay. I'd be willing to go to the $99.95. Yeah, yeah, like anyone else I'd like to get my stuff cheap, except when it won't work that way.

Plus, you did not see the post where odd-jod(?) said 50 people will not be getting it, so the target membership level is lower than that. 35 people make up your poll results at $49.95 or more, which makes for an income of $1,748.25, or, going to the $97.95, $3,428.25. If you add me, since I know I voted cheaply, the $97.95 pushes it over the 170+.

Nearly the same income with far fewer people to provide services for. That is simple economics.

Somewhere in the middle works for me, with the caveat of "admission" to both VIP sections. I realize the value of the "membership" per se, but as a "bonus" for opting in to a monthly payment, I really think the VIP admission is valid.

I think a reasonable price that could limit the membership works better .

There's no economy of scale here. I'd guess that everything will be available to members over the net so it doesn't matter if you make something available to download for one person or 500 people. Costs will be the same (unless you have a really crap hosting deal).

But if it goes at the cheap price then it's likely that ALL the voters would go for it. That's 234 people at $19.95. Which is $4668.30.

It's very unlikely that many of those $19.95 voters will increase their offer, although maybe some will. The poll likely reflects how much someone is prepared to pay.

From a simple business point of view if you want to maximise income then you'd go with the cheap price. If you wanted to get more then you'd 2 tier it at $19.95 and $49.95. The $19.95 people (176+23) would get you $3970.05 and the 35 people at $49.95 would get you $1748.25. Total = $5718.15

The main problem with the 2 tier deal is simple psychology - the 'lower' payers will feel aggrieved that they are paying but still being excluded from 'good' stuff. And that will probably mean that they will quite quickly stop paying. Remember the mindset of most people here is that they want to do stuff on the cheap - see all the 'free' downloads - they simply won't pay high. Or, possibly more accurately, they won't pay high for a continued period.

k. I will contribute my 2 cents here.
First off we have to think what's the objective of having a paid membership. is the objective is to get most of the members converted into paid membership? If that's the objective then go for 19$ a month membership. With that anyone and everyone who can pay will join paid membership and regular forum will not have any good to mediocre members. Regular forum will then have just plain nubes with no experience and no money and eventually regular forums will die.

With a high priced model indeed very less number of people will join. But then it will maintain the spirit of forum. Many of the members who are expert they may not feel like paying 100$ a month just like that. So they will still roam around in free forum like they are doing right now. It will help nubes and it will keep the spirit of forum in place. But if you keep the price low like 19$ people with even a bit of money won't care. Everyone will simply join the paid membership. An example here is current Donor status. I checked the paid member link. It was for 25$ an year. I didnt even read further, simply paid 25$ assuming that if I get anything out of 25$ thats bonus otherwise what the heck. However if this amount was 100$, I will check carefully and will pay only if I need it.

Now if you keep the price high, you will lure more people into joining you? Offer them something new every month that will guarantee the return of money. For example we have seen faceparty tool and other social media tools are real hit here. So guarantee that every month along with other tools, BHW will come out with a tool to spam some new Social Media site. Given that the case I am sure you will find 100 people joining the paid membership just for tool. Because now it is guaranteed that you will make at least 1 K with ur investment of 100$. I was thinking to start something similar myself. Like a private blackhat tool club. Where in you pay 100$ per month to get membership. And we will gaurantee that u will make ur money back. Sure anyone who is spending 100$ a month is serious about his stuff and most of the time they will really use your tools intelligently compared to a $19 membership which one subscribes and forget.

When I joined BHW almost a year ago, I was looking for an answer that I couldn't find anywhere else [Which by the way I found here]. At the time I was really very new to the net, and although I found my answer, many of the posters at the time seemed too be quite guarded, didn't give too much up...so I didn't spend too much time here, I left and only recently returned.

And I was very happy that I did because there is a segment of this current population that is sharing some really sound advice.

Now, we are facing this membership issue. It's obvious that the '2% ers' are here and they want too corner this potential 'payday' also.

So, why not set the membership at $19.95...thereby making it a bit more accessible to both the financially 'loaded' and also the 'not so loaded'. Next within that membership area offer the different tools, software, tutorials or whatever for a 'special membership price'.

That would give us '98% ers' a chance to be apart of something big, also a chance to select a 'potential money maker' and a chance at moving up within the 'financial ranks'...

Has anyone taken in to consideration that this is a JV, that odd-job has his own business concerns and that BHW is just a tool for him? I do not mean that in a derogatory way, since like any good tool if you take care of it it will work forever for you. People seem to be thinking that this is just another BHW level, but it is really a BHW member exclusive.
The difference is in that fact that this is a JV and not another of Dave's enterprises.

Cory could have very well made this a DP exclusive, or a sitepoint, a syndk8....

Phil, you are missing the point that this will not be a large membership, it will be =<49 from what odd-job posted.

KennWort, that post was a caveat to this thread.
