Generally, Alexa is given for having amount of visitors in your website. 1st is the website with most visits. If we follow the logic, they might be doing something with the visitors. However, I think climbing in Alexa stats shouldn't be your priority because it's not really going to make you any profit. You'd better invest your money in real SEO - offPage and onPage.

Only real visitors are counted. If you want to stay high in Alexa, your bot need to simulate human activity. Which is not that easy
