Hi all,

As a college student, I have started a semi advertising and marketing agency but it is strictly Instagram based for now. I have a total of 23,000+ local St. Louis followers (instagram.com/etc) and it is increasing rapidly every day. The way that my page works is, that people will visit my website and purchase either a 'Basic, Plus or Premium' package and prices will vary depending on that and then I would promote their events to my local followers.

Here's the plan, I visit Facebook Events/Eventbrite and pick out future candidates that I think would be interested and I email them to see if they would like a promotional post. This method has worked for me until now, but I wanted to see if there is anything else that I am doing wrong with my email template. I use an email tracking assistant to view who opens the emails, and I have seen lots of people ignore emails.

So my question is, is there any way that I can improve the template posted below? All help would be appreciated.

I do a lot of copywriting work and I can tell you right now I know why your emails are getting ignored...

Your emails look like a typical sales spam message they see everyday.

Engage them like you're a real person. Stop coming at this from a analytical view. That can be done in a followup email if they are interested.

Talk to them as if you're a real person with something useful for them for example:

"Hey XXX, I saw you have an event coming up and I own an instagram page focused on the st. louis area with over 21,000 followers. I work with a lot of local events and promote them through my instagram profile. I was wondering if you would be interested in getting some great social media exposure for your event? If you're interested just let me know and I'll send you a follow up email with more details."

That's a quick example, but that should give you a general idea. Try to look like a real person, not a salesman.

Oh and your email subject headline is very important, but we don't know what it is so can't give you advice there.

Pretty much this. I literally read like one line of your email and got disinterested. Make it short and interesting. Never try to come off as a sales email.
