Hey there,

I have a fake U.S PayPal account. Now they are asking to confirm info and want social security number. How can I get one? I’m not from the U.S

Thanks.

You cannot get one legally.

I remember there is a service here on BHW marketplace which provides solutions to such Paypal related issues. Do look around and you should be able to find it.

Does PayPal have any right to ask for such things? I mean they can ask for credit card info to connect it to the account, maybe for some passport data, but social security number?? For what reason?

If you are a US resident and you do over 200 transactions and 20K annually they report that info to the IRS.

They are only asking for the last 4 digits

Exactly. I doubt there is a solution for this problem as they will most likely verify the SSN manually. They should have sent you a notice and a "deadline", just withdraw all your money before that date.

I once verified a PayPal account with my real name but my girlfriends social security number this was probably about 10 years ago after my eBay account was suspended. It worked great no issues at all until I got scammed by someone in another country.

But what is the reason for that? Just some security measures? As it's my money and only I can decide how much I want to spent..
Don’t know! That’s the first time that this happened to me. I think it’s because I used private account to sell stuff maybe should’ve switched to business.

Anyway it's strange that there are always so many issues with PayPal. They earn a lot of money on users, but still they have so many options that interrupt us to use the service.
Their holds, checks and so on. I'm already tired of all this stuff and thinking to refuse from paypal at all..

Me too

I wish there were other options that are widely acceptable besides PayPal. Honestly, PayPal is just a necessary evil for us IMer's. They're the biggest scam merchant out there.
Summary: if you don't want your money stolen by those mofo's, avoid them completely.
