Hey guys, I have decided to diversify from my normal niche and attempt an Adsense site on Pinterest. The goal is to make small residual money, nothing major(couple bucks daily at most), but enough to passively run FB ads in other projects. Pinterest is definitely different, and its taking me a while to actually get my head around how things work, as I come from an Instagram background, they are very different. I have come to understand Pinterest is a search engine.
Here's what I have done so far, currently getting 0 traffic. This is fine for the moment, as I started a few days ago and haven't done too much as I am still trying to grasp the whole concept :
*had a blog made, along with KW's for SEO (ads not set up yet)
*created business account
*profiled, used Keywords in my name, URL (profile URL) and description
*started making my own boards (currently 2 in my niche) consisting of other people's
*gained 50 followers (may be bots, so I take these with little value)
*started creating images for my own made pins ( plan to make 10 for now )
*got article topics which I will write content for
*currently wrote 4 articles
*I am looking to buy entry in to 20 group boards related to my niche which vary from 5-28k followers in each
These are the steps which I have taken so far, and I feel sharing this could help people take action and try what I am doing, and also to give people the opportunity to find flaws in what I am doing, and provide value to forum in this area. Pinterest seems to be a topic not too many people are talking about.
So, what would you do if you were just starting on Pinterest? How would you set short term goals and perform actions achieve them? Excited to hear what you guys have to say!
