Hey guys, I'm confused.

My SEO position is going up but my impressions is tanking?

Is it just a coincidence?

I've been working my ass off to rank my site but idk whats going on.

It might be a coincidence, if you look at the graph, you have had similar rankings and impressions before. But if it keeps going down, then you might have a problem.

As much as this feels like a cop out reply; seasonality? Trend? Is there a particular demand for your search terms at particular times of year? If your site sells Halloween items for example, the relative search volume will be tanking at present, even though your SEO activity might be paying off... I'm sure you've considered this, but perhaps have a look on Google Trends and see if there's any correlation.

Please be aware that these weeks have been v.turbulent with algo changes. Few things:

• As @Maxim Alston said, seasonality?
• Your position went up crazy amounts in 2 days, is this a new site? With 3 months showing and only 100 clicks with that position I'm guessing so?
• Have you removed pages?
• We're talking around 60-90 impressions, it could just be people not searching for that term.
• Do a bit of manual investigation, do you still rank for those keywords yourself? via VPN?
• What's your impressions/rank for different countries? Your impressions & rank could of tanked in another region?
