Hello Guys!

I was previously a lurker on here a while back when I made this account. Recently decided that I want to seriously look into making money online instead of a standard desk job XD So going to try and be active on here!

I was thinking about making a blog or dabbling in Instagram and see what happens!

I used to be quite active on some other forums but then school/uni got in the way, but would like to get back into a good online community and hopefully make some friends!

I have some python coding experience so hopefully I can put that to use and contribute to the community here! One of the side projects I have going on is programming an algorithm to extract meaning from a group of words such as a blog post or tweet and then plot the "sentiment" of the topic. Don't know how useful that will be but its what I find interesting!

Looking to learn and hopefully I can be helpful as well!

What's wrong with being a lurker and then coming back to change your status to active? I do not see anything wrong with that.

Everybody deserves a warm welcome here, if they let their account dormant for 8 years and then decided to engage after a long hiatus then it should be fine. Don't you think so?

Nothing. Till it's two or three a day all with old accounts all with no posts all with the same story.

Yeah, but is not like the OP bought his account from bitcointalk and forums like those where they sell aged blackhatworld accounts that have remained dormant. His story checks out, university, life, and a shitty life brought him back to this forum.

I think we need to stop thinking like there is some sort of conspiracy going on here, the guy is just coming back after a long break.

Welcome from the shadows, maybe in the future during your journey you may want to offer your coding skillset as a service or you may want to provide a finished product of some sort. In those cases you may want to look into becoming a JR VIP.

Buying account is AGAINST the rules here, so you will only get banned if you attempt of using an account you bought.

Bro let's give him/her the benefit of the doubt here, his/her story checks out as original as I don't see any similarities with another story except for the lurker part. And let's be honest, most of those folks that create account, check this place out and leave only to comeback a few years later were originally lurkers. Ain't nobody opening an account here and planning for 8 years to come back and post their second posts.

We need to welcome those that want to better themselves from the source of knowledge that this forum has. We need to be inclusive of everyone @mickyfu, and welcome them with open arms.

Well didn't realise deciding to not be a lurker would be so controversial.

Can I ask what the point of buying an aged account on here would even be?

I made this account when I was a teenager and didn't really understand what it was about, so just left it. Re-found because it was mentioned somewhere while I was doing some research.

god i hate agreeing with micky but hes right, and ive seen quite a few accounts from
2007-2010 with 0 posts pop up in the last week or so, some will be legit not used
and some will have been bought.

example - 2 days ago i spotted a 2010 account go live smack 50 posts out that day
so i pmd and said whats the rush? he replied i want to be able to post a JV
now im not the sharpest tool in the shead, 8 yrs no activity, cranks out 50 posts in 1
day and admits he wants to post a jv - and that usually means wants MONEY.
anyone here think the red flags are out?

If you think that the fact that it's against the rules would make a blind bit of difference to someone buying accounts then you really are a moron....

Don't get me wrong buddy... I am just trying to say that if it went through the hands of the responsible ones, then it is none of your/our business whether they came back after 3-5-7-9 years or have bought an account. Everyone has its own story. The reason why they might have pretty much the same is because that is the usual thing why/how they come back?
Pretty much the same story apply for me, the time when I was "the come back-er".
