What's A GOOD Conversion Rate? Thoughts On My Results?

That's great! If it helps others then that's a bonus - I just wanted to know if my conversion rates are average or above, but I'm happy it's helped you as well.

It helps a LOT when you enjoy what you're writing about. I recommend choosing a niche that you're passionate about because it wont feel forced and if you do outsource you will know if the content is garbage or not.
But, coming up with ideas - I normally look at forums and sites like Quora to see what people are asking around the topic I'm writing about. I also think about all the pains and struggles people have plus any questions or objectives they might have before they buy a product (The product I'm writing review about).

Also - most of my reviews are storytelling and then reassuring people that the product does what it says it does. So, if I'm writing a review on BlackHatWorld I would write about how I first came across the forum, why I decided to join and all the benefits of joining such a forum. So this might look like:

When I first started in this internet marketing roller coaster ride, I really struggled to understand wtf it was all about. I knew people were making money but damned if I could 'crack the code' like all these gurus claimed to have done!

After about a year of trying to figure it all out on my own, I decided to search for forums related to internet marketing....

There is literally thousands of forums but all the roads I took lead me to a forum that would change my life forever. This forum has a bit of a mysteries and controversial name but I knew I had to go into the dark side to learn the truth about marketing.

I was tired of being lied to and sick of being led down rabbit hole after rabbit hole after optining in to every 'FREE' course I could join...

Ok so that's probs not the best example and it was rushed/off the top of my head but this is pretty much how my reviews look only I go into a lot more:
I have an headline (IMPORTANT - Must grab peoples attention)
I have a bit of a hook and intro.
I talk about the pain or struggle.
Then I go into the discovery - how I found the product.
What the product is and does.
What's in it for them - what does the product do and I then go into the outcome after using the product.
How it compares to other products in the market.
Proof the product does what it says it does - Include images if you can (HUGE IF YOU WANT HIGH CONVERSIONS)
Some frequently asked questions and answers.
Where to buy it...
Conclusion.


^ Some times I had other stuff in there but this basically my template for writing a review. Have some fun when you write - try and relax and just write as if you're having a conversation with a friend and recommending a product that helps them do X.

Ohh, also if you hate writing there are speech to text apps. Sometimes it's quicker to just type but it's good to break things up sometimes.

Do you recommending manual promotions?
Hell yeah - Join the conversation man. Don't spam - actually go to sites, read their blog post and add value to it. These are nofollow links but I still think they help and if their blog is popular and your comment is good, you'll get some traffic too. The way I do it is I play dumb and ask the author questions and then drop my link.
Something like:

WOW, I'm glad I found this article mate. I've been reading about this stuff all day and your write up helped me heaps! Hey, quick question if I may...I was reading this site here (url to your page you're promoting) and they said you can't do xyz because it wont work - do you agree? Thanks again and look forward to your reply or anyone else that can help.


Same goes for forums, community sites and even youtube videos. And this works with any site if you think outside the box a bit

Hey vendors and affs, I've been promoting Clickbank products for a long time now as an affiliate but never really bothered to find out if my conversion rates are the norm or above standards.

I'm promoting different products in different niches and I'm pretty happy with my conversion BUT should I be aiming higher? Is these conversions normal or above average?

I don't do paid traffic, just SEO and some social media stuff.

Would love to hear from vendors on this as well who have affs doing $10k + per month.

I'd say those results are pretty damn good. If you want to improve upon it. I'd look at your funnel chain and see what can be more specifically addressed. Specificity is the name of the game in this field.

Images of proof are great to have but you can also show social proof. What I mean by that is, if there's a lot of people talking about the product or if the product has a huge following you can show that as a form of proof that it works.
So, with your haemorrhoid example you could take a screenshot of the amount of reviews the product has - I just searched on Amazon and there is this product: Mayinglong Musk Hemorrhoids Ointment Cream which has 1272 reviews. If I was promoting this cream I would take a screenshot of how many reviews there are and show that as social proof. Under the image you might say "The main reason why I purchased this product was because there was a LOT of positive reviews on Amazon.com - Click here to read the reviews on Amazon.com (add your aff link).

^ This can be done for other products and affiliate programs as well.

Because you're showing social proof, people love following the heard and that's why influencer marketing works so well.

BUT...If you have some form of proof whether it be images or you can show the product working or doing what it says it does then your conversions will jump up (your copy has to be good too).

The part where you said it sounds like a salespage - you definitely DON'T want to sound like a sales page and this is why you have a story as a hook. As an affiliate your job is to recommend, NOT sell. The sales page does all the selling.
All you're doing is recommending a product because it helps someone solve a problem.

It is good to study the sales page and pick out parts that will work good in your on copy that way it will flow with the sales page but try not to sell. You do want to touch base with the benefits and outcome but in a way that doesn't sound salesy if that makes sense.

As for the supporting pages I'm always thinking of ways to get people to the product page. The more excited I can get them before visiting the better so these will have some presell content to warm them up. Not salesy but I will write helpful content and then mention the product in these supporting articles and either link to my review/money page or link my aff link.

So, '5 ways to drive traffic to your website' you would give 5 examples of how you can drive traffic but also add in some good software or maybe a course that will help them even further. I don't remember if this was asked, but you mentioned that your pages tend to get indexed and ranked relatively quickly. Do you use expired domains with backlink history or do you buy a fresh domain? And then do you tend to build a lot of links or buy them?

And overall I'm pretty interested ( if it's not a secret of course ) how much do you invest in your site, considering that you write mostly yourself. I wonder if it's possible to create a profitable website on a tight budget including all of the themes and widgets and all of that stuff...

I always use a fake persona - sometimes multiple ones for each site.
BUT...if you can use your photo and also do videos it will definitely help with conversions.

My pages do get indexed and ranked fairly fast to be honest. I always have all the blog ping sites in my wordpress settings, plus I submit them to be fetched by google within google searc console and the links that I build in the start normally kicks things off pretty fast.

I have used expired domains in the past and sometimes they rank faster - you do have to make sure they're not toxic. BUT, most of my sites are new fresh domains. I do try and have the main keyword or a variation in the keyword - EMD or close to it.

I think I mentioned this in an earlier reply but I haven't really spent that much on my sites. I have used some of sarkar and dx generation for some of my sites with great success - I've also used to for client sites that I sometimes take on.
But you can definitely create a $10k month site on a tight budget - you just have to put the work in.

Try get 30+ pages of good solid content on your site. Then promote the crap out of your articles.
Build links, share it on social media, blog comment, forums, yotuube - be everywhere you can!

Bro, you can make 10k a month of just one of those 30 pages. I've actually had sites that make $10k+ per month from just one of my pages - all the other pages just didn't perform. I sold that site for $85k - silly me should have sold it for a LOT more but at the time I needed cash.

Think of it like this:
If you can rank a page for a popular product and it's getting targeted visitors - say it's a review. You only need to make 10 sales a day of a product that pays say $35 commission per sale.

10 sales a day is very achievable when you have the traffic and a review or presell that warms them up to buy.
Now imagine that commission is $50 now you only need to make like 7 sales a day to hit your $10k month.

I'm never scared of the competition - I write reviews of product regardless. It's funny because I actually rank for some very popular clickbank products and have done very little link building to those pages. It's mostly on page optimization, silo structured site, fast loading page that gives good user experience along with a good story/hook that people actually read and get value from.

What I've found after reading a LOT of product reviews from my competitors is they're rubbish or forced looking reviews - maybe outsourced without proper instructions.

Anyway just so you know it's 100% possible so don't let that hold you back. Ohh and that site I sold for $85k only had 22 pages of content. Biggest month I think was $13k and I still regret selling it - it still ranks to this day and the owner has not touched it so I can imagine he has made his money back many times over by now.

Thanks but not sure if I'm a good guy or just stupid lol. BUT 85K was life changing for me at the time because it helped pay lots of bills and holiday.
That was lesson learned now I don't sell sites less than 12-36 times monthly revenue.

You can do this mate. Just commit 3-6 month 100% focus on one site - don’t over complicate things and just get content up that helps people solve problems and pains/struggles.

That’s all I pretty much do to be honest.
There’s no real secret it is all about finding a pain, finding a solution for that pain and then recommend that solution to people with the pain.

More to it than that but it will get you started.
