Hi, everyone! I decided to run a cloaked campaign and created a review website for gambling niche and passed the review and it's really working well. I mean I buy 200+ clicks everyday. The problem is I can't convert my traffic to partner visitors. I'm gettin 200+ clicks to my website but just 30 continues as a visitor to the partners' websites which is really low conversion. I installed metrics tools, so I can see session replays but everything is okay with my website. And I'm using the keywords which is being used by the competitors. What do you think guys? What can be a problem? I think click fraud is also an option. How do you guys protect from these kind of acts? I'd like to hear from you.

There are too many variables to provide a specific answer. Look at your average session duration - are visitors leaving before they read the review? If this is low I would make sure your keywords are relevant to the ad copy and the ad copy is relevant to the page. A 15% ctr to your affiliate site doesn’t sound too terrible - but AdWords traffic can be expensive. If visitors are spending a decent amount of time on your page then I would suggest looking at your review and perhaps split testing the copy.

I would definitely set up a remarketing campaign to another landing page, promoting the offer to capture some of the lost visitors.

Looks like the issue is not with the low-quality traffic, but how your ads are set up and who you target. You need to adjust your campaigns to bring different kind of users that convert.

Agree that this seems like a targetting issue. Unless your competitors have some badass bots that generate ghost traffic, assuming this is real traffic, then you probably need to work on a more targetted audience.

May i know where are you targeting?

I think you must be getting bad traffic on your website. If you are planing to add tracking code to track your bad click make sure your parllel tracking should be turned on because google has recently changed the policy about parallel tracking. Read all policy before you take any action.

Yeah, ads setup can be a problem, because I'm not professional in adwords. Ads target 2 countries. I just run 1 campaign with an ad and 5 keywords. I've added some negative keywords too, but no change. What do you recommend?

Increase quantity of ads that you’re testing and test user behavior on your site as well. It would be pretty hard to suggest you something in the comments without knowing everything about your setup.

Can you please give us some more info about what you're doing?

I'm running cloaked gambling campaign on adwords. I've passed all the reviews and I'm getting traffic more than 10 days. Everything is okay about cloaking. I just don't have enough experience in marketing that's why I'm having trouble about quality traffic targeting. My ad text is okay. I'm having trouble in keywords (broad match, phrase match) and demographics. I did some changes so now I buy 150 daily traffic but just able to send 15-20 to visit partners' websites which is really low.

Another thing could be ur landing page. Test not just one type. I test a couple before finding one which actually converts well and has a decent ctr to the money site.

Did you try to split test 3 landers at least to find a winner? Most likely, the lander sucks If your ad copy matches up to your audience.

If you are paying a decent CPC with a good page, the traffic will convert. Otherwise, there is something wrong in your setup or in the funnel itself. Good luck.

I'd think the problem is landing page but it's better copy of competitors' websites. I think problem is traffic quality. How can I search for better converting keywords. But I use the same my competitors' use. I'm just in a big trouble I think.
