Anyone else recieve Instagram update?

Today I've got this profile update so now apparently anyone can see my country, how long I've had my instagram account and previous names of the account. This is going to be a nightmare for rebranding accounts now. Anyone else had this or know any work around?

Can't you just do a bunch of gibberish names before your actual instagram handle when rebranding? That way they don't see your ACTUAL old names.

It would show all the names since 2017 I believe plus not sure what Instagrams like if you change it too often.

Where abouts does it show the info do you know? I've tried viewing my profile off another account can't see anything just yet.

It would show all the names since 2017 I believe plus not sure what Instagrams like if you change it too often.

Could still make it so that normal users have to scroll all the way down to see it. I don't see how this changes rebranding accounts. Who cares if the account used to be about a different niche.

Yeah I guess, for now I can't see a work around so looks like I'll have to get over it ha

I get what you're saying, it kind of makes your brand come across as unprofessional. Looks much cleaner with just one name under the belt. That was their logic in doing this, as it says so that users can authenticate and determine spam accounts from regular ones.

Maybe try creating a fresh account, warm it up slowly..and eventually direct your followers over to the new account under the guise of "follow our main account" or "official account" so they think that one was just a sub account.

Yeah, it's happened to me in a similar situation where I've built up a few accounts.. but they were aged already and I wasn't the original owner of the email to the accounts. Although I still have access to the accounts I know I can get locked out of any one of them if I don't play my cards right.
