Don't panic, you'll be ok.

We use warning as a reminder of the rules. If you break the rules we will warn you not to do it again and give you an warning to show you that we mean it. This does not mean that you are no longer welcome on the forum. For one thing, only you and the BHW mods can see these warnings, so no one else on the forum will ever know. But more importantly, we want you to learn from your mistake so that you can continue to use the forum in line with our terms of use.

You certainly won't be the only member with an warning, and it doesn't mean you're any less valued here. Just because you've got an warning, it doesn't mean we hate you. We give out lots of them every day, it's not a personal attack and it doesn't mean we think less of you. Having a warning does mean that you can't open a Marketplace thread, but other than that, it's just a way for us to let members know the rules that allow us all to co-exist together and have constructive discussions.

Warnings expire after a set amount of time, as long as you don't break the rules again. So within a couple of months your record will be squeaky clean once more. If you have a question about your warning, or think you have a case for it to be lifted early, you can contact support. Like we explained in this thread, be civil and remember that they are not obliged to lift your warning.

@Impulse also covered this in their Three Commandments thread.

One question related to this if you want to answer here in open. In another comment by a mod I read something on lines of some member having 9 infarction points and thus being close to a ban. If there is such a provision, does it include the expired infractions as well ?

That's a really good question, thanks for posting it. Members will be automatically banned when they reach 12 live warning points. This does not include expired warnings.

Ok good to know but I'll have to check the rules to see what counts towards an infraction

Posting on a Shitlist thread when you are not involved.
Spam posting ( especially in Introductions ) will also earn you another.

well..getting the rules relating to the forum on infarctions..,what are the necessary guidelines to avoid infarction and what are the thread posts that trigger farctions.
