But not only sellers. Also people that post something in HAF or WTB and then never respond. Is it so hard to write something like "Sorry, I've found someone else"? I take the time to write them, and I'm not worth their time to answer at least a one-liner?

I'm so fcking triggered by people that don't communicate properly.

I think it's quite disrespectful.

Point taken. So bottom line, communication is key for both parties.

As a seller on other forums (not BHW yet , I always try to respond within 24 hours to new inquiries, but that's the "later" end.

Ideally if I'm not sleeping the response time is <1 hour & sometimes <30 minutes. (That Pomodoro work though, lol)

However, it also depends on the client.

Some clients can be extremely demanding in which case if a potential client freaks out if I don' t respond in 2/3/4/5 hours that's usually a red flag. It's not just about making $$ at any cost. It's about making money to fund the lifestyle you want so if your lifestyle includes not having clients who email you day and night expecting a response and you don't want to get a VA, that's your choice.

Yeah some clients just expect so much out of you!!

and panic ensues when you do not respond instantly!

Then you have others who are not responsive even after receiving payment.

I have had clients pay me $1k upfront, and then never check in with me again....After attempting to contact multiple times I gave up...

and months later they came back wanting services, and forget that they already paid me.

Funny how that works.

True, but swift communication is not making buying me anything and you should not buy due to this alone.
