Since launching my company in 2013, we’ve been working really hard at writing perfect cold emails that help our clients to reach their objectives quicker and easier than before.

We send emails to hundreds of thousands of people each year and in some cases millions of people in a single month.

What we’ve discovered is that people don’t like or respond to highfalutin sales emails.

Similarly, many business owners get bogged down by complex strategies, funnels and copywriting techniques.

A good cold email campaign is the polar opposite. It’s about a great message, great communication and great distribution.

Question: What's the number one technique you use to get people to respond to your cold emails?

Please feel free to share any statistics, images etc to help illustrate your technique!

Thanks.

Do A/B testing campaigns to understand people in your list more and what raise their interest

Mine, I run a email marketing service, but MailChimp offerrs it too

MailChimp tends to be better suited to newsletters instead of cold emails. I usually use MailShake for clients as it does a good job at making the emails appear as if they're sent manually.

I would be really interested to find out why people voted "NO".

True, Otherwise you would get suspended lol. They voted no mostly because they do run a service already with subscribers, so mailchimp and so on works pretty great for them!

Cold email is very different to email marketing to newsletter subscribers.

Cold email is when you reach out to companies or individuals who know little to nothing about you or the services / products that you provide.

It's very similar to cold calling.

I know what cold emailing is. You didn't get my point. I meant as in why they would need it!
As in most of people here runs microniche websites and they do have targeted subscribers already so why cold emailing

If there is a element of targeting, I had the most success offering them something valuable for free upfront.

If what you offer has relevance and value and would be something they would normally pay for then i found they listened to what else you can offer.

I write great emails. Issue is people don't open them to witness the awesomeness. I get it...its the subject line that sucks

Exactly, Most people tend to send emails that they actually will ignore if they received them themselves and then come say "email marketing doesn't work anymore"!

It's not just subject line. Well you have the From Name, Subject line and "preheader" text, which is a text that you can specify and write that shows up on phone email notifications aka a "brief description".

Also there is something called a/b testing you know, You can use unlimited amounts of subjects in one campaign and the app will automatically choose a new one each email.

Your video is great....awesome content...
Got to admit it's a little creepy...lol
Do you have a guide on how to do all this?

Keep it simple. If you're selling coffee cups then use something like: "Coffee Cups".

Sounds silly, but just use the same technique you use if you're sending an email to a family member or close friend.

Thanks man! Yea it was done deliberately in that style to:

a) Stand out from the normal video you see about marketing
b) A lot of people think cold emails are "edgy", "SPAM" and potentially harmful to their business

RE a guide: For writing cold emails or for creating that type of content?

OP you really should upgrade if you want to promote your YouTube channel

Have I included my service, company name and company contact details in any of the threads I've created? Serious question

You forgot to add- or your Youtube channel ?
I included my video hosted on YouTube. No links, no mention of subscribing to anything. Just free content that helps Blackhat Forum users to get more out of their cold emails.

Obviously quite a few people have checked this thread and I believe only one person took offence. However, I would argue that as it has YouTube's branding on the video player, then I guess I'm self promoting YouTube?

I asked a question for people to share their best tips. If they reply, then is that self promotion?

One final question: why include the function to embed videos if it's just self-promotion?

Video embeds, links to articles, links to pages are all fine - unless they are to your own stuff ( which most people also have filled with affiliate links ) as this is nothing other usually than self promotion to get people to visit your own platforms.
