[Journey] Growing My First Amazon Affiliate Website

So basically you write comments on your own articles using different accounts?
That's the idea yes, but I actually gave it up, since a white hat seo guy told me it can actually hurt my site, and it's totally random if it affects the rankings or not.

Interesting journey, will be following you. Are you in US amazon affiliate program?
Yes sir!

Update: I noticed a nice difference after I optimized some of my posts with POP. Some keyword positions jumped up for even 10 positions and more. So I'll optimize all of my posts asap and even try to run a report with Cora to see what affects rankings in my niche the most. Besides that, I also bought 2 new PBN domains and have to build sites on these in the next couple of days.
As far as sales go, no luck yet. But I'm getting a couple of clicks to amazon everyday which is nice to see, considering the site is just over a month old. :)

Whats " POP" ?

Whats " POP" ?
Page Optimizer Pro.

Update: Maybe some of my PBN links started to kick in. The main "best" keyword is finally on the map, went from N/A to #22 in one day! Another post which I optimized went from #28 to #7 in one day as well, which is pretty cool (I just fixed some alt tags and keyword variations to increase relevancy). Of course, that might be due to the backlinks, but I always see a nice jump after I fix my on-page seo for a specific post, so it sure helps.

People say that some PBN links can take even months to fully kick in, so maybe these rankings aren't even just because of the PBN and the real results come when they kick in, hopefully soon.

Excited to see how big G reacts when I make some new PBN links :D

I'm also getting a Cora report for one of my posts in the next couple of days. I'll see which are the most important ranking factors in my niche, and then optimize it accordingly.

Great Journey keep it up.

Are u getting PBN by your own search or buying from someone here? How you are managing PBN means using shared hosting or vpn ?

I'm buying domains from brokers. I'm using Priority prospect for hosting

Hope all goes well for you! Looking pretty neat so far. How experienced are you when it comes to SEO, building websites etc?

Thanks man! I'm pretty decent when it comes to design and building websites, as it's been over 4 years since I started doing it. I have a pretty good SEO knowledge as well but this is actually the first time I'm trying to rank a website without outsourcing it.

Update: I finally got Cora report and seems like I have to fix a lot of things. It's a bit overwhelming, the report says I have to fix even things like navigation and LI tags, so that will be more complicated.

I'll fix the basic things first, like word count, LSI keywords, and things like that, then see where it takes me.

I got around to setting up the Google analytics too, it shows a high bounce rate, so I need to work on formatting my posts, try to grab their attention fast and get them to convert.

If I manage to fix the bounce rate, I might even start getting some sales soon.

As you can see, I'm getting some traffic already and I only have 4 keywords on the first page, positions from #6 to #8.

Link wise, I made another PBN link today, and I have to build out 2 more blogs + buy 10 new niche relevant expired domains. This time, I'll buy them from a seller on Legiit (already bought one and it's pretty decent). Wondering how much these can push me up, compared to the more expensive ones I've used so far.

Hold on tight, it'll be a fun ride.

You do great job by the way. Its not easy today to rank well with amz affiliate site even the keyword have low competitions. With your hardwork like this I hope you get a return more and more. Good luck with the journey.

Im looking to build a second affiliate website but the high domain authority on google's first page keeps putting me off.
Or I shouldn't pay this much attention to that? Im using Moz plugin..
Guess I have to keep diving even deeper in my niche research.

Any update on indexing the web 2.0 sites? Pretty curious, I do also have problems with getting mine indexed...

Btw nice journey and wish you the best :)

Please update us on if web2.0 really boosted the serp ranking?
I have heard many negative about web2.0 backlinks in 2018.

Really great going.. .Keep doing this great work. How much you have invested in total now? Got your 1st sale on amazon ?

Of course you should pay attention to it. If there are just big websites with high metrics on the first page, and they're all very relevant to your keywords, you won't rank with your website if it has 7 times worse metrics. But it depends what kind of websites are there, just looking at moz metrics is not enough.

Thanks! Most of them get indexed pretty quickly, at least those on wordpress and other HQ platforms.

I'm mainly using web 2.0s to diversify my link profile. Not really great for pushing your rankings IMO.

Didn't get any sales yet and it's pretty weird, as I have around 60 clicks to amazon this month :/ I invested a lot in PBN domains and I didn't even use half of them so far, so when I get a backlink from all of them, I should probably be on the first page for most of my easy keywords.

Where do you buy pbn domains?
Different sellers or I scrape some by myself

Good luck op on your journey :)

Thanks!

What are your opinions on Bing Traffic? Also, if Amazon, Ebay etc are dominating the first page for a certain keyword, is it worth ranking for it?

Never tried Bing. It depends with what kind of pages they're dominating it. If it's just product pages and there aren't many affiliate sites at all, then I'm not too concerned. But if there are only product pages on the first page and affiliate websites can't get near it, then I'll be careful.

Update: It's been a while since I updated this thread. Here are the rankings right now, a lot of keywords hit the first page, and I still have around half of my PBN sites to use :D Getting 20-30 visitors per day, and I have around 100 clicks to Amazon in total. However, no sales yet. Any ideas why not? The products I'm promoting are still popular of course, maybe I should try recommending other products as well and listing alternatives? Or try to use 90-day cookie?

How many PBN's are you using right now?
How many links have you sent to both homepage and inner pages??

I think I made around 8-10 PBN links in total.

Got it, so no point in using 90-day cookie at all :) Thanks!
