Today i received an email a customer complaining for my product price where he supposedly
had to pay $39 and then it was $69. I am kinda confused by this and i even checked his order
and the price didn't change at all. i didn't change the price. also i tried to buy the same product
and there was no additional fees. I offer free shipping so i don't charge for it as well. I'm even getting orders from the same country and this is the first time this happened.

His/her email

"Item I had been trying to get today was $39 plus. Now it's $69 plus. No thanks, that's a big price jump from this morning to now. I don't want to get it anymore."

I replied that the product is marked at $39 and no additional charges were on the price.
can someone explain to me what happened here?

Could it be that this order was taxed by customs?

i find it weird because i shipped to the same country before. united states
and customers never mentioned a different price

Sometimes deliveries slip under the radar and there's no tax charged, so maybe before the customer got lucky and didn't get hit with the tax then.

Did you use the same courier / delivery service ?

If you’re using a third party app to import items to your store, there is a feature that increases the price automatically if there is a price change on the vendors item.
By default that option is on and you have to manually turn it off when importing the item from the app to the store.
