Run account if VPS instead of proxy?

I have an account that I created with my phone but since I want to start botting I'd better move it to a proxy. But instead of buying a proxy, couldn't I just move it to a VPS with a different IP address than my home WiFi? I'm going to log out of the account on my phone to make sure they are not associated anymore. If this works, should I let the account rest for a while after moving it?

I have done it with amazon aws and with 4 accounts. All account are fine until now. But, I tried the same thing with google cloud with 1 account and it had action blocks for a couple of days and then got deleted.

Okay, I'm going to test it with Amazon. Did you run all 4 accs on the same vps or different?

Remember, those are public IP's before you set up the VPS. You don't know what that IP's previous user has done. It's the same as using a cheap public proxy. You could get lucky, you might be unlucky.

Yes you can do that with like 2-3 accounts but now more then that. if you use too many they will get banned by instagram!
