[Journey] Growing My First Amazon Affiliate Website

Update: In the past couple of days, I made some new backlinks, one of them was from Medium.com and I actually found out how to get a do-follow link out of that son of a biscuit. The post that I'm ranked #8 for, had only around 600 words on it, so I updated the content to 1500 and re-indexed it now, we'll see if I can manage to go a bit higher with just on-page seo.
I also built a new PBN and I'm waiting for it to index & age.

I'm also getting a few visitors each day and around 3-5 clicks to Amazon, no sales yet.

Are you building links to the category pages ?
And what is the kW difficulty score ??

I'm building links to the master silo page. Difficulty scores are from 25 to 45

I love to follow your journey. Can you elaborate what is PBN? Im new

I think he ask is your category page main silo page?
The master silo is a long post where I'm targeting "best" keywords. From there I link out to all 13 posts where I target "review" keywords.

Update: Like I said before, I made a very decent Web 2.0 (Wordpress) and put around 1500 words on it. The thing that weirds me out is that it indexed quickly, and then I checked to see if it's still indexed the next day, IT'S NOT?! Might have something to do with this new Google update, I've seen a lot of my tier 2 backlinks get deindexed too. Any of you experiencing this as well? Or is that some sort of "dark index" where Google puts some pages, but they still pass juice?

As far as the ranking goes, positions are bouncing like crazy - today it goes to #5, in the next 5 hours it goes back to #23.

This happens always no need to worry since they are made with the quality they will index again.

From where do you get keyword difficulty?

Uh okay, hope it gets indexed again

If thats your start its very very promising! Good luck!

good luck with your journey OP!

Thanks guys!

What type of Competition these keywords have ? and which theme you are using ?
Most of my competitors are affiliates (PA & DA below 30). I use Newspaper (by tagDiv)

Thinking to start my amazon affiliate journey too, Best Luck goes to you!

Pretty great journey.

All the best bro! I wonder how do you get ahrefs for $28/month. It's something on sharing with others?

Haha, I didn't really think much about hosting at the beginning so I just picked this one, besides that, I use it for many other websites and don't mind paying $30 for that

Good luck! I'll follow the journey. :)
Thanks!

Update: I have 2 keywords on the first page now, and many other on the second page. I'll start experimenting with on-page seo and tools like Page Optimizer Pro, to see if I can get some of those to the first page as well.

But one thing is bothering me, the main "best" keyword which has around 8k US MS and KD of 37, is nowhere to be found. I'm ranking nicely for its variations, such as "best xxxx under 500", but appear nowhere for the main one.

Any suggestions for this? I'm targeting this keyword with the longest post of course, master SILO if you will. Sure, this one is harder but not so hard I wouldn't appear at least on 3rd or 4th page immediately.

Update: Made another web 2.0 in the past few days, and another PBN link just today. I'm experimenting with blog comments on my review posts from now on, excited to see if they'll help boost up the rankings.

Here are some of the stats now:

I also changed rich snippets to hopefully get more clicks, but I'm having a problem with meta description - Google just doesn't seem to pick that up. Titles work fine, but for descriptions it always shows what google wants :(

Interesting journey, will be following you. Are you in US amazon affiliate program?
