Running multiple Spotify clients on one server

Hi!
I read this article on how to fake Spotify plays: http://motherboard.vice.com/read/i-built-a-botnet-that-could-destroy-spotify-with-fake-listens
It says that on a 15 GB server you could run 50 Spotify clients. I'd like to know how I should do that. Would I install 50 virtual machines and automate each one, or is there a simpler way?
