I know many things have been asked but time passes and things change, so I would rather have fresh answers then digg in threads from 2016. :p

Background info:
  • I found a specific sub-niche product on Aliexpress for about $10. I did a good research in my country (EU) and the cheapest ones I found online were starting at €26 up to €45.
  • Next I checked the demand. Google Keyword planner says 9.500 searches per month for this exact term.
  • As last I checked the facebook targeting the exact parameters from my subniche and it says: Potential Reach: 1,900,000 people // Estimated Daily Results Reach:
    4,100 - 16,000
So I guess in theory this looks fairly OK. If I decide to go through with this I will order a few products for a friend of mine to test who reflects the subniche perfectly. After quality and delivery times check I will be setting up the rest.

My question(s) to you guys:
  1. I read online that I should be looking for penny products instead of my current products so I can refund people without taking a hit on my economy. Thoughts on this?
  2. Anyone from EU doing dropshipping with Ali, targeting EU countries? How do you handle the TAXES?
  3. Any advice further I should know/take into consideration?

Cheers! :)

Any EU dropshippers here? :P

Hello,
The person who said it takes too long to drop ship via Ali has a valid point! It would make more sense for you to put in a small inventory, and you ship to your customers. Regarding refunds, if the product is as promised, you should not experience many refund requests. It also makes more sense to go with the $10 item, than penny products. But why not try both?

Too long ship to most eu countries?
Well the dutch post services have a deal with Ali since a year or so. Some sellers can offer 12-15 day delivery to NL. Is that too long?

Ye I don't have the budget for a inventory also I don't know which 'model' will sell best, maybe in the future I could do that after some splittesting products. The niche is a specific womens sub-niche and my girlfriend will be testing each product before it appears in the store. This way we can atleast be certain of some degree of quality. :)

Make sure she doesn't fall in love with all these dildos, and start to neglect you :smirk:
