How to spot scammers on BHW

He's calling out the sellers as the ones scamming as they use shill accounts to keep their services on top of the marketplace

What about common sense? Isn't that enough proof? I mean 2 days old account with zero comments jumps in and buy a $100 service, that's classic shilling. You don't just join a blackhat forum and burn $100 on day one.

$100 is peanuts especially in the U.S

We had clients spend $x,xxx and only joined BHW purely for the service, whether it was to ask for a discount special for BHW members, to leave a review and so forth.

Age of an account, posts, status (Jr.VIP/Exec/Mod/etc) are NOT indicators of how wealthy a person is. You'd be surprised to find out that there are more wealthy people with under 50 posts than there are with a ton of posts.

Of hundreds of deals I had done here, I have had 1-2 bad cases. Do not judge this forum by name only.

We are in a place where you can buy fake amazon reviews, fiverr etc, so don't be surprised that some sellers here are boosting their threads with bots or fakes reviews. As many suggested, do you hard work, read all reviews, see sellers contents etc then order.

To some people thats expected. When I've had lots of work on I didn't come on here at all, when I have little jobs coming in I spend more time on here.
The people who are succeeding usually arent the people posting here.

As @LukaB said, you'd be amazed at just how many people do this.

1. A newbie making orders and posting order ID after every 2 days

2. The same newbie giving good reviews

3. The same newbie asking questions about the service and promising to make an order.

4. A sales thread without reviews yet so many people asked for review copies.

Regarding #4, some sellers begin advertising their services on other platforms or groups before their thread goes live. However, if you think the accounts are tied to the sellers (friends, family, paid users, etc), report them.

This is the kind of stuff I wish members would report. As stated in rule 7, reports are anonymous, so if someone wants to send in a report with proof that a seller contacted them to leave fake reviews, it'll make it much easier to

In every review, I go into detail about what I received and how I reviewed the service to let any potential buyers know what they should expect. There's even a message I leave at the bottom of every review telling users to report the seller if they receive anything less than I did.

For buyers: The quality of the product or service that I receive is what you should expect, or better. If you feel that the quality of the service has dropped significantly, please let us know via the report button.

Every marketplace moderator scrutinises the services submitted here, but despite all of this, we can't always know if or when a seller is going to go rogue. This is why we rely on the community to report rogue sellers when they encounter them.

I was sharing my experience as seller. You should not assume that a buyer cannot scam. Those 1-2 cases were buyers only.

Re-read what I wrote. No where is it written that all newbies are rich folks.

Tell me this: Do you think a Billionaire has time to post around the forum and accumulate thousands of posts?
In other words, there's a much higher chance that the billionaire is a newbie with 1-2 posts rather than thousands of posts.

There are rich & poor newbies.
There are rich & poor aged/high-post members.

Think a bit please. Your other statement is ignorant where you say that because someone sells amazon reviews that they use fake reviews for their own thread. I'm no amazon review seller but you are making 100% assumptions with 0 evidence, yet you're being so certain they use fake reviews.

Yeah, there are services with fake reviews - nobody is denying and it's in BHWs best interest to punish hem down which they are doing. Services that are caught with fake reviews are punished.


See a review you think is fake? Report it and it will get investigated.

I have noticed the following:

I have have had some very good experiences with sellers. Hosting I got from here 3 years ago upgraded to dedicated host and still going strong. So not all bad

If only BHW had an intergrated payment system.

- BHW gets a percentage from each order.
- Only verified purchases can add a review.
- Sellers are motivated to keep the quality.
