How to spot scammers on BHW

I don't know if anyone has noticed that marketplace posts are filled with scams and lies...

I have noticed the following:

1. A newbie making orders and posting order ID after every 2 days
2. The same newbie giving good reviews
3. The same newbie asking questions about the service and promising to make an order.
4. A sales thread without reviews yet so many people asked for review copies.

Have you noticed these trends, maybe share others so you can help someone.

Some of them have found ingenious ways of making sales
 
The Way I buy is like this.
I follow A few members who I trust. So If I see them rebuying a product
I will take that as a positive sign.

On the other Hand if all the reviews are from newbies or even members who I dont "recognize" on my trust Radar
I tend to be more cautious. Not a perfect method but its something.

Finally if you have grounds and proof there are shill accounts, report them and we will check them out.
 
The problem OP is mentioning here is use of newbie accounts to bump sale threads in form of fake orders/ reviews. Initial comments address a different concern.
 
Yep, I certainly did. Although I'm a blackhat newbie, it really doesn't take a lot to get a sense of the shady business that goes on around here. I mean don't get me wrong there are helpful people and useful resources on here but this is blackhat after all. You're dealing with people doing sketchy things, of course you can expect you're being blackhatted in blackhat website itself.

Of hundreds of deals I had done here, I have had 1-2 bad cases. Do not judge this forum by name only.
 
I always buy with due-diligence, you will observe that some popular BST gets orders several times per day, with great reviews and the users are either from 2011,2013 with 5 -10 post only, etc or created accounts few weeks, or month ago. I always buy from members I trust, follow them, or check each BST reviews up to 10-20 pages before purchasing.

Now its your money, your choice, so always take time to read reviews before buying

If people have proof of this, report them - simple.

What about common sense? Isn't that enough proof? I mean 2 days old account with zero comments jumps in and buy a $100 service, that's classic shilling. You don't just join a blackhat forum and burn $100 on day one.

Not necessary. I have had a new member buy services worth $1000 or more in few days of joining. Some members join for a specific service only.

The marketplace isn't hidden, you can buy without being a member. So if the seller has asked the buyer to leave a review in their communication......

I agree, someone may be looking for seo services and landed here. created an account and ordered, but some popular BST ,there seems to be a pattern going on, members with very few post, aged accounts or new account purchasing everyday.
 
Op is talking about the bot accounts running rampant in the marketplace, not human scammers in themselves

He's calling out the sellers as the ones scamming as they use shill accounts to keep their services on top of the marketplace

I am mostly on the selling side.For buying, I have limited people with whom I am dealing for years.
