Good CTR but hops not converting

Hey,

I’ve just started Clickbank and gotten good traffic from a niche which I think is targeted well.

So far my clicks for my hop is over 1000, usually around ~300 a day. My CTR is crazy good for a banner ad, over 8% but no sales or no order impressions. What am I doing wrong here?

Banner ad is running on a niche website (not my own) and traffic is mainly from the USA + Europe. Product what i’m selling is in the same niche and has a good gravity. I link straight to the aff landing page, since I don’t have too much IM expertise yet.

Is it possible all those clicks are bots? What am I missing here or should i just wait for more clicks?

It could be a number of things such as traffic source, bot traffic, non-converting offer, etc. Even though the gravity is high, it doesn't mean the offer would work with your specific traffic source.

Since you're new to IM, I would start off with smaller payout offers (dating, email submits, etc.) until you're experienced enough to drive traffic to PPS offers.

My specific traffic source is in the same niche what i’m promoting. My cost per hop is ~0,07$ Atm and the campaign will run for several days still so its going to be even Lower.
I am using bit.ly for now for tracking, does it hinder/affect my affiliate link?

Is there a way i could see if its bot traffic?

Smaller payout offers is a viable option. Maybe i should try other aff network than clickbank because i dont really see any email submits cpa offers etc in Clickbank?

Whats your recommendation for this? Currently i just use bit.ly to shorten my link in the banner and i get some ”tracking”. I don’t want to try anything too fancy yet because i’m just starting out. Does bit.ly affect my affiliate link in a negative way? I know its not optimal to use it.

Are you making claims on the banner that the vendor does not do?
And what is your general niche - health/MMO/dating?

I don’t have further data unfortunately. How could i track it better? Thought bitly google analytics wont work together.
I don’t understand your second question. I sent an email to their supp team and they are investigating whether the vendor is sending bot traffic. They refunded my ad money at least. Its Health

In the second question, what I meant was that for example if the vendor is making a claim on their page "Lose 5 pounds in 3 weeks" and on your banner you claim "Lose 5 pounds in 3 days", then that might explain the low CRs.

To track better - and indeed get better results - you should make use of your own LP. You'll have more data on visitor behavior too (so you could detect bot traffic) and you could collect emails which would enable you to keep selling to the person.

What data are you tracking?
Do you have goals setup?
Are you using any additional analytics to track user behavior other than Google Analytics?

Blocked em IPs, they might be leeching info..

I used site called adclerks to buy banner ads on various sites, wasn't happy and would not recommend it. They sent me bot traffic, but luckily I got refunded when I contacted support (ad fraud).

I also dumped the product, and chose another one in a different nice. I've been reading a lot of guides and chose also a different strategy, which resulted in a first sale within a day.

First be sure that the trafic you recieve is realy trageted.

To verify this : use landing page with free ebook , and catch emails, and in the thanks page promte the product.

This way you will grow your email list and in the same time be sure that you have real human clicks.
