Think like I think?

All you'd have to do then is bring yourself to that specific state mentioned earlier (sense of priviledge) and allow the autopilot to take over (+ habit) - you'll effectively not give a damn afterwards.

This stuff is simply a self-made formula for a theory though... more power = less fucks given.

Right, I need to learn how humans work (mostly the copywriting area will help with that, I think), do you suggest specific books to get started? Would you also mind explaining the quoted part?

OP become a Monk, you have been dreaming of it for 2 years, just do it.

Yes, that's a choice I made already, no escaping that, 3 more years of some responsibilities. I would be a loser if I run away to become a monk now.

In my head...

I'd make a profit from friends family or my dog and wouldn't have any trouble sleeping at night. Especially where you can use skills that they dont possess or know about in order to give them a decent ROI without needing to spend time away from their business.

You can have clients that respect what you bring to the table and will be happy to pay you for what you do.
Or
You can have clients who are only interested in maximising profits and are not pleasent to work for.

Either way, charge a fair price and deliver a good service and all is good.

I can't recommend any good books but thought I'd share my thinking.
That's the way I need to think but some industries work a little different, although everything boils down to the same thing. But you're on point to what I was looking for.

No book will ever help you. Self-help books are written for the sake of selling more self-help books.
Thing is you are an emotional-based guy. You work through your things per your emotion. You go from emotion to ratio, which is a downward spiral, as it should be in the other direction. Shady blackhat stuff, stuff that provides no real value is clearly nothing for you and your mind will always hinder you profiting from these methods, no matter how smart you actually are.
The thing no book can teach you, is, to go with the flow. Use your emotion, look where your talents are, where you can provide value to others with your empathic skills. From this route you switch over to ratio and start monetize that in a good way.

This is somewhat a common problem so OP you are not alone in this, that's the first thing.

And it is AMAZING that you have identified you have an issue here, a lot of people would think the issue is with the outside world and not their belief so well done.
Just by virtue of identifying that and starting to look for material to help you and surrounding yourself with those kind of thoughts should help a lot in itself.

Because it is a problem others face there is plenty of great books on it, and you will need to study a good few of them before you change properly.
You've been recommend a few good ones, I will condense a list of books and audio courses I believe that you should go through that should help just to kick start you in to your new profitable way of thinking. If you go through all of these one or more should resonate some are direct money related some indirect but it should help you start to change, we don't know what the epiphany point would be but if you go through them all you stand more of a chance as its different for each person

Rich Dad Poor Dad - Robert Kiyosaki
Influence - Rober Cialdini
48 Laws of Power - Robert Greene
Think and grow rich - Napoleon Hill
Anthony Robbins - Awaken giant within (Audio not book)
The Millionaire Next Door
and Secrets of the Millionaire Mind are meant to be very good also but I have not personally read these 2 yet, but I would include them based on what I have heard.

I have left out my favorite and top ones, because once you have read these then come back again if you still need it and I will give you the more next level up ones ;) after a short quiz of course, to ensure you have gone through them :) Good luck on your new winning direction.

OP start providing your clients with real value. Help them out with their problems and they will thank you many times. It's a win win for both.

Look forward to it, see ya in a few weeks :)

Will leave you with this gem in the meantime from a song by Jay-Z - Moment Of Clarity
"And I can't help the poor if I'm one of them.
So I got rich, and gave back, to me that's the win-win"
