Since the App Store is virtually the only place to acquire software for iPhones, iPads, iPod touches, Apple TVs, and Apple Watches, Apple’s decision will effectively end crypto mining on those devices. On macOS, however, users will continue to be able to acquire apps outside of the Mac App Store, enabling mining and other activities to continue without Apple’s seal of approval.

That's what I was thinking. Mining from a phone cannot be all that profitable. I've never mined in the past but I have a powerful GPU that I'm thinking about mining with (even though I'd probably only generate $1 per day).

More than likely. Any serious mining efforts should be done with an actualy mining rig. Phone, GPU, and CPU mining just sounds like a waste of time.

When developers mine, the do so on multiple devices. All the little coins mined from the many devices add up after a while

I wonder why people even waste time mining with their own devices. There are many good cloud mining services out there (if you know where to look). Why stress your machine and power when you could get the same returns mining in the cloud?
