Am I allowed to take a google picture as profile picture on my IG?

Yeah,you also dont need to change the MD5 because when you download a pic from gugol the compression change the MD5 (IM NOT SURE)

Make sure its not a proprietory photo or have a watermark by some photographer.

You can use basically anything. (to an extent obviously lol)

But always remember, that if your picture is not unique it might effect the ranking of your instagram account.
Instagram don't like content that is duplicated.

Yes then you are good to go. Just be careful if it is a copyrighted image and you start making a lot of money.

For example if I set up a personal IG account and want to use the Houston Astros (baseball team) logo as my profile picture and I find it off google search, that is perfectly fine.

But if I start a Houston Astros fan page and use the official Astros logo and am making money through sponsorships and promotions, I would be better protected from lawsuits and licensing fee's by hiring a graphics person to make me my own profile pic.
