Getting an intern (unpaid yeah boi) for the summer and have like a week to prepare a ton of work for them to do... any ideas?

They are good at web so im thinking on-page optimisation, anyone want to trust a 17 year old developer with on-page optimisation for their site? What could possible go wrong?!

What about content writing?

Anything repetitive is normally the best idea especially at first, because when you give them options it can go bad, but if its just the same thing over and over again they normally do it well.

It's best to create a check list for them to follow also, rather than, yo I need a few things done go for it.

I would look at all the things you don't enjoy doing for work and see if they can be outsourced to him, then sprinkle in some cooler things that you can pass off as training and maybe give him a few tips and training so he sticks around.

Monitor the stuff they do for the first week or so just to make sure its not totally useless, and direct it to be exactly what you want, but yeah also give some stuff back to them like training or something cool.

Start off with smaller easier tasks to see how they handle those, then start bringing in more detailed web tasks after you're happy.
If they are really clever with web stuff then you want to be careful, you don't really want overtly clever interns unless you are really going for a protege type thing, last thing you want is for them to dissect your business model and replicate it so limit your outsourcing to multiple places.

OP, you left it too late if you are in the UK, interns have to be paid at least minimum wage now.
