My Ig page (40k real followers) was disabled after a knockoff site copied my custom products and then sent instagram Trademark infringement notices.

Do I have any chance of getting it back? It seems like trademark disabled accounts are the toughest to get back. I've done all the standard e-mails through their help pages as well as through the app; weeks have passed and I've only received generic "your account violated TOS" messages.

Thank you so much

Instagram doesn't just disable pages for one copyright strike. And even if they did, you have a way of countering that by issueing a counter-notification when you get one of those, which pretty much tells Instagram to tell the person claiming copyright to take you to court.

So, what happened, exactly? Something is missing here.

The bogus accounts did it multiple times over the last couple weeks. I did not file a counter-suit, would doing do have made the infringement void in IG's eyes? Anywho, do I stand chance here?

Thank you.

Thank you.
Email Instagram saying that you will take this company to court, or email them a counter-suit. Even try emailing the offender.

Hope this works out for you. Since FB owns IG, you may need some luck to get it back.

on the "disabled" message when you clicked "log in"

was there a "learn more" button?
if so, click it.

at the very bottom it should say "if you think this was a mistake, let us know"

personal account: ig email will ask you for a picture of you with a code on paper in your hands.
business account: ig email will ask for documents proving you are the owner of the business (maybe a business paypal account payment, print off. or maybe taxes, etc)

there are also other ways!
which include removing the competitor as well.

hope this helps!

Thanks for that, I actually did it quite a few times (both personal and business), but all I ever get is a generic reply saying I violated TOS and am disabled. Its so heartbreaking.

have you tried completing what they ask for, but in addition - show them the account who is pretending to be you?
give them details: their a knock off brand, you were around longer, they are taking advantage of the reporting system, etc!

go in detail, explain your feelings & be polite!

each time you try , a new IG employee sees it. maybe that will help your odds! (keep trying)

Thanks alot :) I have sent them back what they asked for but I continue to get canned responses. I am wondering if my replies are even being read.

as long as there is a name - it should be sending to somebody!
id suggest to keep retrying!
i know people who get "no" every time, but 6 months later they get a "yes"
(people who didnt give up lol - they had 100-200k)

KEY ISSUE IN THESE DISPUTES IS TIMING

Respond immediately to these claims in the future. Counter-suit. Fight like it's a fucking war--BECAUSE IT IS.

Hi, I'm not familiar with the Trademark infringement notices, but if the knockoff is copying you, you must be posting earlier than them, that could be a prove that shows you're being copied, right?

That would be ideal, but no one at IG is reading the messages... I've explained the situation over and over, but they resort to generic copy/paste answers every time.

yea... I get it, that would be too ideal for a big firm to execute like this
