If you care and notice I've been absent for the past week, I've spent that time exploring the Southwest US a bit. Flew into Las Vegas and checked out the Strip and Fremont Street, then took a rental car to southern Utah and northern Arizona to visit:
The road to the Valley of Fire.
From the exploratory area of the Valley of Fire looking out over the mountains of Utah.
The sandstone cliffs of the Court of the Patriarchs in Zion National Park.
The waters heading towards the Narrows.
Views from the Emerald Pools trail in Zion.
The Virgin River.
Heading into the Narrows (best hike I've ever taken).
Unreal scenery in the Narrows.
Cliffs over 2,000 feet high.
We hiked through knee deep to mid-thigh water for several miles.
Finally reached Wall Street.
The wife walking up the largest of the dunes at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The colors were really that stark.
Sunset Point in Bryce Canyon.
More Bryce Canyon (from the Queen's Garden Trail)
Looking out at the Amphitheater.
Some natural bridges forming in a small canyon deep in Bryce.
An incredible overlook in Bryce Canyon. I think Rainbow Point.
Natural Bridge at Bryce Canyon.
Farview Point, one of the longest lines of sight in North America.
The absolutely unreal view from Bright Angel Point at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (this part of the canyon opened the day before we got there for the season).
The view coming down from the North Rim.
12/10, would recommend.
