So they didn't buy because clowns on forums were telling them to buy and they can't lose? Muppet

"The basic premise is that speculators got way ahead of themselves in terms of the adoption rate. The adoption rate has slowed by every metric I look at, while speculators are still stuck holding onto cryptocurrencies that have declined in value. Virtually every purchase of Bitcoin since the spike higher around U.S. Thanksgiving is now losing money. Those holding cryptocurrencies bought with credit cards are feeling the additional pain of interest payments if they bought using credit (which scares me as a concept as I analyzed here)."

You Don't Have To Hate Bitcoin To Think It Is Overvalued

This is what gets me about all the BTC experts and traders on BHW, when the price is rising they are all over the place giving out their predictions and advice but when the price is falling they all disappear and become mute.
I would be more impressed if they were around explaining why the price is falling, why people shouldn't be worried, what to look out for etc
Seems they only have something to say when BTC is going in one direction.
This section lacks unemotional analysis and makes many of these experts look like clowns and children.

Actually you will find the only real expert round here is I, The King Of Crypto C, who advised all to short it many months ago.

You do realize of course that less mining means less supply and more demand, i.e increase in price. If you don't understand even the most basic concepts of this market, then you're just a sheep gambling your money based on the false information you're fed. You follow exactly what the right people want you to do. They can't make money unless they confuse you so much that you willingly lose yours. Go to a casino, bet on "red" or "black" on the roulette, that's roughly about 50% chance of guessing it right, in theory. At least you won't spend months of your time losing your money via gambling. It will be swift.

The number of BTC generated per day is fixed at 1800. There could be one miner or 100000000 and the rate would still be the same.

1800 what LMAO? Where do you get this info from? Do you even know how Bitcoin is mined? I am not a BTC miner, but I do know that Bitcoin is mined by chaining blocks together. This is done with a certain software that does the process. More software use = more Bitcoin mined. More software = more electricity required. So no, 1 miner with 1 computer can't get the same amount of Bitcoin as "100000000". There is no "rate". Before you make any claims on the forums, do me a favor, google things first, spend some time reading, educate yourself at least.

Bitcoin aims for 1 block every 10 minutes so 144 blocks a day. Current block reward is 12.5 BTC. So 144 x 12.5 gives a target of 1800 BTC a day. Until the next reward halving.

In reality the total per day is varying slightly due to increasing numbers of "miners" ie hash rate. If the network consistently creates more than 1800 a day for 2016 blocks then the difficulty will increase to slow down the blocks. It works the other way too. If bitcoin becomes "too expensive" to mine and miners start to drop out. As long as the network is able to do another 2016 blocks then the difficulty drops. These are the rules.

You are right in one sense that "1 miner with 1 computer can't get the same amount of Bitcoin as 100000000". One of them other 100000000 will find the matching hash before the 1 on his own. Basically a race. Thats where pools came from.

144blocks*12.5btc=exacly 1800 and thats the number of brand new btcs till may/june 2k20~ not more, not less. Ofc we're mining more than 1.8k but it doesnt mean there are more NEW btcs, its just bcoz of fees which users have to pay for transfer (so each block is worth 12.5btc+fee which is 0.5btc atm so 13btc~, december was great, there were blocks with 25+btcs ;) ), greetings

@PinguSpy

I rarely see my portfolio nowadays.
Thus I still in the profits mode.

I just hope in Q2 or even Q3 the moon shadow will appear again.
so every late comers can start profiting again.

Gheghe exactly, that month when it was rising above 10k I was getting sick of all these crypto hipster threads, "whats your portfolio?""This is my portfolio""Predictions 2018" blabla so it's all nice and quiet now.

From the day the MSM got involved and hundreds of coins were added each week it was doomed to fail. The idea was good the execution horrible!

My my my... another dip.

Looks like more than a dip, looks like it is going down vertically atm

Again I would like to say that I am a supporter of Crypto's and I really do hope everybody makes as much money as they can, but it is so much fun taking the piss out of the so called BTC experts on BHW that have continually talked shit and never shared anything of real value and have probably caused people to lose money.
It is at times like this that I would hope the experts would chime in and explain why people shouldn't worry and why BTC will bounce back. The truth is that they are in the dark like everybody else but they only speak up when the value of BTC is going up.
I started the thread on Mar 16 because I saw certain indicators that said to me that BTC would fall but the experts were quick to take the piss but what do we see?
If they really want some form of credibility then they should speak up and share their wisdom.

I've banned at least a half a dozen of them because they all tried to get people to join their little discord/telegram pump and dump/let me mentor you/affiliate link crap.

Had they been legit they would not have had to do any of that.

I think that is all these experts can do, start little pump and dump groups to fleece the noobs.

I am no way an expert but I consider life experience as a guide, some of these crypto guys have never seen a bubble before, it is easy to invest pocket money in Crypto's if you still live with your Mum and Dad.
It has amazed me how many people have been taking advice from people that aren't even legally classed as adults. No matter how smart these kids might be, I would never take investment advice from children.
