hekke's Ultimate Merch by Amazon Tutorial [GUIDE]

Great guides . Thank you so much bro

Thank you!

Simple and on - Point guide ! Can you make one for the invitation only approval process too ? I would like to know in detail how to get approved by MBA

I have never done it, to be honest. But I guess you just fill in those details and talk about your previous experience with designing?

Great share. One of my first IM ventures was Kindle publishing and I actually have one book that made me $500 last month so Amazon is definitely a great place to start.

Few q's if you don't mind:

1) So I assume you hire a FT designer because this is a volume game in the sense that 75% of your shirts wont sell and maybe only 25% will and therefore be responsible for the bulk of your income? That was partly why I never decided to go deep with Kindle, I just got lucky with my first book.

How many of your shirts would you say you have to upload before you achieve a successful one? Be good to know this.

2) So as far as expenses go (excluding that keyword tool), it's really just $5 per t shirt?

3) Does your account need to follow a certain theme or can your shirts be based on a variety of topics?

Thanks in advance and once again, great share.

1. Yeah, 50% of them never sell. 50% sells, and once they have sold once they for sure sell again. Some become hits and make up for those 50% I lose. It's all about quantity (my designs aren't shit but I am mass-producing them).

2. Yep, $5,5 due to him writing brand, title, and bullets too. I also got a team uploading my shirts now, but they are not necessary to include in the overall expense (it is like $300/mo).

3. You can go wild! 1 account 1 billion niches/topics!

Good luck!

Great guide hekke. All the best for future earnings.

Thank you!

Another awesome share @hekke , are you sure you're still so young?

Great share! One point though: don't you have to be careful about saying "for a more loose fit please order a size up" ?? I read that Amazon would crack down on them phrases now.

thanks for the great thread

I have read a few of your long detailed posts about various IM methods and I (as im sure lots of other noobs on here are) am very thankful that you have taken the time to do a step by step thread on this stuff.......gives me a lot more confidence when getting started!!!!!

Thanks man! Haha, yeah been a few years now on this forum - I've been stuck at the same age for a long, long time.

That's a good point, I'd not recommend anyone using it right now - will try to get the thread updated!

hekke's thread, quality guranteed. ;)
Thanks man! Appreciate it!

I love hearing stuff like this! Makes me want to write more and more of these.

Any suggestions on what I should write about next (related to Merch)? Post them below!

Great Guide, OP!
I myself am very interested on this business. Does anybody have been successful opening a Merch By Amazon account after been suspended as a Regular seller on Amazon?

what countries are allowed to sell on amazon? I think its just U.S, Canada and UK am I right? pretty unfair though haha

Thanks for the guide. I got the approval email through this morning and already uploaded one image.

you mean you can sell in amazon even you are not american , candian and UK citizen? How about african latin american or asian and rest of europe? I read a thread once where you cant do this if youre not from one of these 3 countries

Does it make sense to rank a site #1 for unicorn t shirt etc then direct traffic to your Amazon merch t shirt page?

Is it worth buying an approved merch account if you can't get approved or have been waiting forever?

great share thanks i've just been accepted
Thank you and good luck! :)

I assume you'll be fine. I have no experience in that though.

All countries as far as I know. You only sell the products in the US though (for now).
^
I applied in Germany and got approved 5 days after application!

Can't wait to start this! Thanks hekke!
Good luck man! :)

I am pretty sure you can apply no matter what. I know people from all over the world being connected to the Merch by Amazon platform!

Hm, redirecting would lead to your site after a while being removed from the index. However, if you create an e-com and include your products there you can make even more sales by promoting it. I have yet to test something like that out though.

Is it worth buying an approved merch account if you can't get approved or have been waiting forever?
Right now I don't think so, I see people being approved left to right at the moment and there doesn't seem to be as long of a waiting time anymore (previously it was 6 months+ average), now I think if you got a good experience with designing you can get approved in a few days.

Thanks for all the feedback! Please let me know if you want any other guides on Merch by Amazon! :)

I am now approved but my problem is when i'm going to add bank my country is not there. Do you have any idea how will i do this? thanks

Thank you for your sharing! I just filled all the forms for the taxes and for the invite. Hope I can get it and start soon.
Good luck in your future!

As previously said by juniorfast1, use Payoneer to receive the money and then transfer it from there.

That's a really in-depth, informative guide. Thanks for sharing :-) Always great to see how others make their money.
