Back2Rookie. Get 5k(pm) within 6months using ONLY methods from BHW

Good luck with this. I will also be following with keen interest.

I have some general questions:

- How will you use your keywords? Are you trying to rank the individual products or a blog post? Have you targeted keywords for each of the products you've added so far?

- Do you have any thoughts about product liability insurance?

I have a fairly brandable, 20 year old .com domain that I acquired some time back. I think it would work well with Aliexpress/Alibaba dropshipping, however my big concern is over liability as the niche is something people put on (or in some cases in) themselves.

I checked with my insurance broker, who organised my US private label insurance, about getting liability insurance for dropshipping from Aliexpress. She told me it's next to impossible because of the number of suppliers and the nature of each product being so different in terms of manufactured material etc.

Thanks for the speech recognition advice, I like the tool as well, it recognises the words well, even in other languages than English

I’m going after the categories more than products for the general shopper. The products will look after themselves. I’ve focused on two products out of 100 that you can’t get easily in the UK. I’ve sold one to my surprise, profit of £35 this morning.

I’m going after the browser shoppers over product shoppers.

I’ll be doing another update of what I’ve done tomorrow or Monday

I’m chuffed with it indeed.

Ill be updating in the next couple of days.

I’ve lost my father yesterday so things are a tad crazy but this will continue

Another Update

Sorry for the later than the normal update, mainly for my reasons above.

I've now written my content on the 25 landing pages. I've targeted between 2 and 10 keywords per page with most pages having around 400 keywords.

I've made a sale which brought in $54 with the product costing me $12 to purchase - Awesome. I will be saving sale profits until I have around $1000 which I will use to invest in maybe services on this site to scale what I've 'learnt' on this forum ALONE!

My next step is building backlinks but ONLY free ones that I've found via this site.

Strangely enough, it wasn't that easy to find a decent guide to building backlinks, other than the same old tosh of 'web 2.0s' - yea I get that, I'll try this so let's see but I will be ONLY using manual methods.

I want to push this site as though a business owner is simply trying to promote their website.

I fished all over the place for a guide that covers various types of backlinks, for free - I found this very hard to read due to crap formatting thread which is pretty detailed, skip to the 'Link Building' Section by @clean99 although a comment by @KraftyKyle stated that the content may have been copied but I'll let you guys read that thread and decide who wrote it, I don't really care.

The one thing that I wanted to do is find link opportunities that are a lot more 'fresh' - Some of the sites in the post are pretty dead but that's cool.

I downloaded a lot of lists from all over the forum - Most are old and a waste of time.

I decided to change my tactics very slightly. I have the 'guide' and the idea but I need sites to slap my link on, ones that have some quality so I works on the free website lists that I found scatted over the forum but as said, I wanted quality so I looked into the link building marketplace. I didn't want to buy anything but one thing I have noticed is that most web 2.0 link sellers always show logos of sites they use in their OP graphics.... My tactic is to build a list of the top 50ish backlinks that I can find to get as close to that guide as I can.

I also found a few threads like this one by @Owanceaser - he is sharing a handful of websites that appear to have some quality in the form of domain authority, they are not amazing but they are enough to get the site noticed by Google is the content I submit if good enough. You can fish through his posts here, although he's locked down his profile, you can see his posts

So thats this weeks work planned, due to me being off for a week I will most likely double my hours so I can fly through these links.

I will be looking for a guide to see if I can speed up this process but for now, I'll be doing this manually.

Hey, the content in the guide you mentioned (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/c...seo-sites-easy-way-to-start-with-seo.1012278/) was written by me and the website that content came from was mine. I took the website down after posting the thread.

The domain is still stitting in my Namecheap account:

Second sale for $64 and cost of product to dropsell is $13

Discovered a category page is ranking pretty well just by the on-site seo!

Low competition, 720 searches a month in the UK.

I didn’t notice that one of the related keywords I picked from Wikipedia is ranking very well on its own.

I’ll give credit to the very old method by @BassTrackerBoats which I mentioned in the OP

“The first one is this by @BassTrackerBoats who used Wikipedia to do his keyword research

Could be a fluke but that’s done using his keyword research method but I didn’t even notice the keyword. I’m also guessing that age of the site had no impact in this one, there is next to nothing for competition so google kinda had to rank it, just kicking myself I didn’t see the keyword myself - goes to show that even someone who is ‘seasoned’ can miss a trick. If it was a clients site, I’d be taking credit as I’d notice it before them as we have a lot of conversion tracking that I can’t use in this study

At the moment I’m not tracking keywords but I’ll find a free method to track them.

So to date it’s $118 in two sales that cost my own pocket $25 with ‘profit’ of $93

I’m down $7 now instead of $100 which I used to set up the site etc.

Hey, sir, any updates? I'm thinking about making a similar thread on August, after college final exams.

You are truly an inspiration!
