which antivirus do you use and why?

Kaspersky

Its the only antivirus I face real problem to overcome when hacking

Imagine you want a contraceptive to prevent your partner to become pregnant. You get it, but you know you are not safe at all.
So you spend some more money to buy a better contraceptive. Still not safe.
Now you put much more money to buy the most-advanced-ever contraceptive.
Hurra!
You got a baby.

The perfect contraceptive was just to have an ugly partner and not having sex with her. 100% efficiency.

With OSs it's pretty much the same. You can install the best antivirus ever, you will waste your computer resources (and maybe money too) and someday you will get caught by a virus anyway. It's your destiny.

The perfect antivirus is an ugly operating system that nobody is interested to violate. Name? Linux.

Yep, Linux is pretty much hackable too, but who would care to spread a virus for the average John Doe's home-based Linux system?
The last time I formatted my computer was 8 years ago... the same exact time I have been running Linux.

Sorry for the creepy comparison... Just a morning reflection xD
You know why people think (including me in past, when i used to be a pirate) windows is prone to virus? Coz they don't use a genuine one, and thus don't update. Ofcourse Linux rocks, but not for all purposes. I have been an avid Linux user for a loooong time and then switched to genuine windows 10 pro. Windows has awesome support for many softwares including (but not limited to) Photoshop, vector graphics softwares (yes, I know about inkscape), video editing softwares (atleast, the user friendly ones like after-effects and premiere pro) , most of the SEO tools and so on. It has better support for most of the new hardware features too. Try configuring Ubuntu on a laptop with HiDPI display, you'll know what I mean.

Oh btw, try playing games in Linux.. you'll love it :D

Again, don't get me wrong. All of my servers are nix boxes, but I use windows 10 on my workstation simply for better productivity. If you regularly update your OS, you stay safe. With that, you get better customer support because you are paying for the os.

As for your example, pull out before you ejaculate. That will save you a lot of money. Also, don't fuck whores.. you might end up with AIDS :p

On topic.. I use nod32 (genuine, ofcourse lol.. u get what u pay for) and it is awesome.. it works exactly like an AntiVirus should.

None, cause to be honest AV are made only to make money from clients x"D,
if you are smart enough you really don't need one, just know where to click and the source of the things that you are going to download, And you won't need a one ♥ ..
I hate them cause they make the PC very slow !

It doesn't, if you have a SSD and atleast 8gigs of ram. You won't even feel the av is there, if you happen to have the correct hardware.

so let's not say all, but all newbies, and new one's here are trying to make money 70% of them are having just a regular PC with 4 Gb or ram and dual core CPU, and HDD ..
so let's go back to my opinion and don't use a one :D

I'm with QreNZi.

Even if you have the most powerful computer on the planet. What if you open 100 bots on it and run at the same time or something. The antivirus is still a net negative on your machine, no matter how powerful.

A 200 Kilos human in your car is still a net negative on it, no matter if you have a pinto or a porche.

ESET, MalwareBytes, Kaspersky over the years, but as others have said no AV is 100% bulletproof.

McAfee, very good and thorough, you'll get lots of different ones on here which will confuse you even more lol!

+1 for Macafee, it's brought up several dirty crypto wallets this week.

Is there an anti virus that gives you details about what sort of things they are working on, and how many new protections they have built in this week?

Would love to learn a bit more about what they actually do,

I remember when I was younger, and IT Support friend had a book on viruses, it was like an A to Z, and I thought it was like the weirdest thing i ever seen.
A dictionary of things that fuck with your pc

for what ?
software for m0r0n
just use sandboxed and md5 hash , i never get virus on my comp

My choice is bitdefender because its cost is good and compare to others better performance and system fast...

I had the same question some time ago, made my research, and almost everybody agreed that Bitdefender(free or premium) is the best option. Free version uses the same AV as premium version, no ads, no fucking popups, minimalistic design, protects from web threats.

I use Avast, why? Because it's free, makes a big mess on my computer and finds super hidden viruses witch any other antivirus can't find ;)

i am pretty sure that Bitdefender is great, i have tested Panda , AVG, Avast and Bitdefender , if u use bitdefender and the free version of malwarebyes you are very safe!!

Mcafee because it goes on sale sometimes for like $3 at ebay
