looking to purchase one for work and home computer just can't decide yet.

bitdefender is pretty decent - not too intrusive on the system, not too many popups, not too much of a performance hog but at the same time, picks up most threats.

You can choose any of those Antivirus out there but your safety remain in you, know the places you visit, the clicks you do, downloads and stuff like that.

Anyway, an Antivirus help a lot, use McAfee.
Stay safe OP, good luck.

i suggest 360 total security ,for me it's the best antivirus i have used
good luck ;)

Imagine you want a contraceptive to prevent your partner to become pregnant. You get it, but you know you are not safe at all.
So you spend some more money to buy a better contraceptive. Still not safe.
Now you put much more money to buy the most-advanced-ever contraceptive.
Hurra!
You got a baby.

The perfect contraceptive was just to have an ugly partner and not having sex with her. 100% efficiency.

With OSs it's pretty much the same. You can install the best antivirus ever, you will waste your computer resources (and maybe money too) and someday you will get caught by a virus anyway. It's your destiny.

The perfect antivirus is an ugly operating system that nobody is interested to violate. Name? Linux.

Yep, Linux is pretty much hackable too, but who would care to spread a virus for the average John Doe's home-based Linux system?
The last time I formatted my computer was 8 years ago... the same exact time I have been running Linux.

Sorry for the creepy comparison... Just a morning reflection xD

I hope you don't overcomplicate IM like this :D you will be having a hard time.

I use nod32 like... forever. I remember that 10 years ago it was very lightweight.

I am not sure how is it now in term of speed, everything changes after an updrade to SSD.

Windows Defender + Malwarebytes + SUPERAntispyware is all you need, if you know what you are doing.
Use a sandbox or VM for anything dangerous and you shouldn't have a problem.

I use " Kaspersky " My fav not interested in any others..
