Lost google ranking after updating content on site

So yesterday i updated some content on my site paragraphs etc added more text and since i have fallen from 5 post for a keyword to not being indexed, how can i check if i have been penalised or how long roughly can google take to re index my content, Thank-you

I dont even rank for any single keywords anymore, Lost all my ranking in 2013 and never recovered, and I have a website in google news.

have no clue how to recover everytime i disavow some spammer site who keeps linking to 1000 backlinks all directed to my homepage another two or 3 pop up, I think some competitor is doing this to me and was able to keep my down so he can get all the traffic

Google had a dance around march 1st, so I think what you just did was not the reason for your serp decline and it was to your previous efforts. my pages got hit a bit, but as of right now, it seems things are going back to normal.

please check again in 24 hours and see if you still notice the issue that you mentioned or things have gone back to normal.

another thing: in the text that you added, did you increase the ratio of your keyword for that page? (keyword stuffing)??

Are these safe to use like no virus?

His ranking just suffered he wasn't banned from google. I think just algo penalty

It since a long time you slapped by Google. If you think that everything you did correctly with Disavow request, then leave the existing domain.

First, deindex the existing domain by Google webmaster. Take a brand new domain. Update the existing content with updated information. Build the website properly with best practices. Hopefully will back in ranking soon.

yeah Im thinking about it, its basically true you can never recover, the only reason I never gave up on this website is because its in google news and its hard to get approved int here, but I used to get a ton of traffic from google news now nothing I can publish 5 articles in a day and ill get maybe 200 visits and maybe 25 cents in adsense not enough to make a living

before all these penalties and algorithms I was able to get at least 10 thousand views a day just putting up one article a day

This sucks, because I love my niche, its the only thing im passionate about this algorithm update that leaked gave bad competitors a chance to destroy honest bloggers with negative seo

its very weird why people are so greedy just write good content instead of knocking out your competitors with bad backlink spamming over and over.
