Hey there BlackHatWorld

So at the Moment i am working an offline and online Job. I am having a hard time choosing what i want.
I have an offline Job and a online Job. Currently my offline Job is an apprenticeship and it is literally draining me out. It's in a call-centre in Germany and it is very boring and i hate talking to people all the time. If i would finish the apprenticeship i wouldn't want to stay there anyway so im not really sure if it is worth the effort. My online Job is fun and i earn around 200% to 600% more than i earn in my offline Job.

Right now i am really struggling to make a choice so i came here and maybe you can help me decide. So to sum things up here are some pro's and contra's

Offline Job:

Contras:

  • Draining me out
  • I don't want to continue there after finishing the apprenticeship
  • i don't earn nearly as much as i earn online (even after the apprenticeship)
  • i feel like shit every day
  • i feel like i am being used there
  • i already have a apprenticeship
  • Shifts are horrible (I am talking about working at night and on saturdays and sundays)
Pro:

  • The people there are nice
  • I have another degree after 2.5 years of doing the apprenticeship
  • I have some sort of security
_______________________

Online Job:

Contras:

  • Scared of failure
  • Scared of not having enough Money (after taxes and social security such as insurance)
Pro:

  • I can Focus on myself
  • I can earn more and scale up/ build up a solid Business
  • I can work whenever i want
  • I dont have to rely on anyone else or take shit from someone

I know that this is a question i can only answer myself but it would be nice to hear your opinions and takes on it and why you would decide to quit/not quit.
Keep in mind that an apprenticeship in Germany is not something like college or high School.

Thanks for your time.

best regards

I like both the jobs. One is giving you the money. Another one is giving you the experience of thousands of peoples' reactions. But if you are serious then take online job. Thanks.

If you are earning up to 600% from online this means online you earning in 1 month the same amount as in 'normal job' in 6 months. In IM you have fun and you really like it. If you are scared of instability just save money every month and even if you fail you will always have time to find normal job. This is just my 2 cents, decision is up to you. Good luck!

Working for someone else you get paid holidays, can switch off after your shift etc.
Downside is you might become redundant / unemployed. Everytime you see your boss in their brand new Merc, remind yourself you paid for that partly.

Working for yourself you have no safety net, you need to keep scaling up to provide a regular income.
The brand new Merc however is yours !

It seems you've already decided it yourself. You've very clearly opted for the online job, based on all those pros you've given.

My take on this is you should make sure that you can actually support yourself just by an online job. If you can calculate your expenses and all the taxes, and if it pays of more, then I suggest you should quit your job. Cause from your description, you can already do that. So what are you waiting for? But make sure you have a backup plan if things don't go well.

But hopefully everything works out fine!

Job should not be done only for money, i believe you need to mix job and passion.
You said you feel like shit every day, how can you do a job that makes you feel like that expecially when your online income are enought to cover bills and cashout some money ?

if you want to stick to online ,say good bye to your social life then

I left reading after this line. If you are making that much with online job and enjoying it, why bother about job. Regarding security, make sure that you have multiple sources of income. Also, have some sold websites built for yourself.

Leave the online job. Fuck it.

Offline job brings security, you will also have a job even if you do a pathetic job. You won't grow much, but who needs growth when you have security right?

(Sarcasm)✓✓

Only plus I see in your offline job is that you talk to people, you will become a better saleperson/marketer not a fucking keyboard marketer like me :o

Rest your offline job sucks.

Only security you have is to change with time, if you don't you lose...

Hate giving advices :l sorry that I did.

leave the offline job . You can easily do that since you are already earning good online . 6 years ago when i left my high paying job from a very big company i had no idea how i am going to earn money but i trusted life and myself and everything is good so far .

Thanks for all your input guys. I think it mainly is the fear of not reaching my goal or failing in the longterm but i guess that comes with it.

if you want to stick to online ,say good bye to your social life then

That actually doesn't sound so nice. Are you for real? I am technically working 2 jobs at the moment and still have some time around to hang out and enjoy my life.

Props for doing that, must have been a really scary at first to do that right?

I like your advice. Changing with time is something everyone has to do. Even if they have a offline job or work for a company. Thanks.

I don't know honestly. Maybe to have a relaxed mind that tells me that if i ever fail with online jobs that i still have a offline job that secures my ass lol.

If you are earning consistently online, enough to cover all your bills with money left over then I would say quit the Job and go hard with your online biz.

Thanks for the input, i def. have to go through all the stuff again just to make sure that i can pull that off. Yes i actually already decided it but the fear is still hunting me down, lol.

Gold here

Nailed it right on the head. Good stuff @Billy Batts

True that!

I know right, he actually drives a family car but whatever dude. He is still the boss and runs the company and i am his undervalued worker..

Thanks a ton. I am actually saving up a lot of money. At the moment i have about 5 figures in my bank account saved up, just in case something happens. But yeah.. as you can read by the other replies. The fear is still what hunts me down..

Thank you very much. I like em both too. But the offline job is just really annoying, plus i don't see any benefit from it at the moment :|

Read this again ;)

Good guy, you know how i'm rolling - Man quitting a offline job is easier said than done. LOL.

Not really. Let me help you a bit. Tomorrow you walk straight into your boss his office, take a dump on his desk and say, hey arseloch, I'm done with this shit! Goodbye.

You thinking too much, just pull the trigger already instead of procrastinating, maybe you need to watch that motivational video in my thread again ;)

Props for doing that, must have been a really scary at first to do that right?

yes little bit scary i had already invested a lot of family money in my college education. we are conditioned to think like sheep hence the fear but my dad supported me even we were financially very week . but now i feel i am free . To earn money you need confidence in your self .Its not that my old job was shitty .Its just i was not happy living that life . i don't earn 6 figures but my life is way better .

you should also stop thinking too much .its just a job nothing more and you are already earning good online so thats a plus. i think people can really excel and live a fulfilling life in 9 to 5 job also .its just some people like us are never made for this.

If you are earning enough with your online job, then you could quit the offline one. It's not worth it if it's draining you out.
